Ruby feels like a mad woman going back and forth inside their room. She doesn't know what she is feeling, she feels like she wants to pee but she isn't really. Her stomach is giving her weird feelings, like there is something inside her that she cannot explain. One thing is for sure, she is nervous.. How can she not? When she accepted a deal that was not supposed to happen.
How did I get here? How did I get myself into another mess? Those are the questions running in her mind. Surely, she is dumb. Should I really go with her? She mentally asks herself. There are many possibilities that will happen and it is scaring her. However, she thinks that if she backs out now, Lisa will tag her as a coward, and Ruby doesn't want to be tagged like that.
"Oh! Jennie, what have you done? Can you survive the night with her?" She questions loudly, her eyebrows are deeply furrowed. Composing herself, Jennie breathes in and out. She is aware that she needs to calm herself before their meeting. She can't allow Lisa to see her in this state.
A silent scream comes out in Jennie's mouth. She screams, and screams, and screams until her throat constricts and then she glances at Ms. H bed. Where is she? Why is she not here right now? Again, questions came rushing in her mind. She wonders why Ms. H is MIA when she was the one who told Jennie that they are going to have dinner. She thinks it is Ms. H's fault and Ms. H. should be on her side to save her from the upcoming mess that is yet to come. Fidgeting the tip of her pointed finger, she walks to the bedside table and gets her phone. She calls her professor's number and starts tapping her right foot on the floor, which she soon stops because she doesn't like the sounds that are echoing in the room. When she doesn't get any answer from Ms. H, she decides to sit on the edge of her bed as she tries to relax herself. Why isn't she answering her phone? She questions mentally. She waited another minute before she dialed the number again. And just like the first call, she didn't get an answer.
"I swear I'm going to kill Ms." She mumbles. "You put me in this situation, why are you being MIA now?
Forehead creases, she looks at the time on her wrist watch and it says quarter to seven. Fifteen more minutes and Lisa will be outside her door.
"Think, Jennie. Think!"
Abruptly, she stands up and walks back and forth again. She snaps her finger when she thinks of an alibi.
"Right. I'm going to ditch her. I will pretend that I didn't remember our deal." She smiles.
Yeah! That's right. But she would not believe you. The devil in her mind counters. She bites her lower lip.
"But that's the only way to escape from this mess. If she gets angry I will just deal with her madness." With that final decision in her mind, she gets her bag and walks to the door. Right now that's the only way she thinks to escape from Lisa. However, when she opens the door, she gets surprised to see the model already standing in front of her door, readying herself to knock.
"Wow!" Lisa says in a surprised tone. "I thought I was the only one excited for this date."
Jennie smiles at her and bows her head, trying to hide the agitation building in her entire being.
"Or not?!." Lisa says in a confused tone.
When Jennie glances at her, Lisa's eyes are already looking at her hand. Even though she knows it is already too late to move her hand on her back she still does it.
"Did you just try to escape from me?" Lisa questions, her eyebrows are drawn into a frown.
"What? No!" Jennie says in a defensive way as she shakes her head vehemently, making her look more guilty. "Why would I do that?" She laughed to hide her guiltiness, but it sounded off.
