When Ruby saw the helicopter on the rooftop her reaction was one shock. She looked at me with her cat eyes, both of her hands were covering her mouth. It was a precious moment to look at, and the way she stepped backward after realizing what was happening is something I can replay in my mind for free. I had to grab her arm gently to refrain her from turning her back away from me.
"Where are you taking me?"
"Do you trust me?"
Her brows lifted. "We have a photo shoot tomorrow."
"I know." I said, smiling. "And we will be back before it starts." I rested my hands on her shoulder and sighed, gazing down at her tenderly. "So, do you trust me?"
She closes her eyes, "Fine!"
"So let's go?!" I reached my hand at her, but she just looked at it.
"Just make sure I won't regret it."
I chuckled. "This will be one of your best nights."
She shook her head and took my hand.
To be honest I thought she will be terrified to fly with me in the helicopter. I played many romantic scenes in my mind on how will I calm her down if she's ever terrified. There is a scene where I would hug her and I would lean her head on my shoulder until she calmed down. There is also one scene where I would hold her hand as I assure her that everything will be okay. And of course, there is one of my favorite scenes where I would hug her and kiss her forehead gently, down to her nose and then her lips where I give her a chaste kiss. It was all romantic gestures and I was so sure she would melt by my sweetness. However, none of it happened. Ruby is like a pro helicopter passenger. She wasn't afraid, it was the contrary. During the entire ride I was ignored. She was just busy looking at the beautiful scenery outside. Well, I can't blame her. I also love looking at the scenery every time I fly here. I was just distracted by her presence, that's why I was not able to enjoy the view. My mood was somehow affected by the thought that she was more enjoying the view outside than the beautiful view in front of her. So the entire 30 minutes I was just sitting on the side, sulking until I fell asleep. If I didn't hear the pilot talk I would never have woken up. Because guess what, Ruby didn't bother to wake me up. When I opened my eyes she was already walking towards Nana Chatrii.
“Piya, everything is set up in the docking area.”
I startle and glance at the person. It's Nano Aat. He is Nana Chitrii's husband. “Thank you, nano.” I smile at him, then I look around hoping to see Ruby.
“She is with your nana. She guides her to the living area so she wouldn't see your surprise.” He smiles playfully.
I chuckle. “I will just go to them, Nano.”
“Okay. Make sure to win her back.”
I stop my trace and look back at nano Aat. “Why’d you say that Nano?”
“Well, I have a feeling that she is pissed at you.”
“Pissed?” I question arching my left brow. “I didn't do anything wrong.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, Nano.” I pause and think hard of what happened during the entire trip and my annoyance towards our situation earlier boils up again as I remember how she ignored me.
“So?” I hear nano Aat questions me again.
“Really, nano. I didn't do anything wrong. I fell asleep , so how was I,”
“Oh, that is why.” Nano cuts me.
My forehead creases.
Nano lets out a soft chuckle. “You don't do that to a beautiful lady, Piya.” He continues as he shakes his head.
