"I gather all of you because I have an announcement to make." Ms. S. pauses as she stands up. She then walks to the front and slightly sits on the edge of her table. Looking down the floor, she lets out a heavy sigh.

"I'm sorry, but the photo shoot in the studio was cancelled."

"What?" We ask in unison.

I glance at Sarah, her facial expression says a lot of questions are running in her mind.

"I thought they wouldn't change it." Ms. S, continues. Her sad expression is still plastered on her pale, beautiful oval face.

"Why is so sudden?" Finally, Sarah let out a question. It's barely audible, but Ms. S still hears it.

I have the same question with Sarah
Why would they cancel it. Everything is prepared. In two days time we are already going to do the photo shoot.

"Is this something to do with me." I ask myself. "Did she happens to read the file, and saw my profile?"

"But I don't want you to be disappointed."

I look at Ms. S. Crease on my forehead starts forming. I wonder why she said it. Ms. S is one of the most sensible person I know. And this time, she should be feeling the same thing we are feeling.

"But it's disappointing, Ms. S." One of the participants voice out. If I'm not mistaken her name is Sydney.

"Actually, it is not" Her expression suddenly changes. Now she's giving us a big smile on her face. Probably she's thinking that if she gives us her best smile we wouldn't be discouraged.

"How it is not disappointing Ms. S. We have been preparing this the whole semester." Says Allen. He's one of the top three students in their class. "And the experience to work with them is most needed in our resume." He pouts.

I agree with Allen. We needed that experience to have a good start. Especially, Sarah and I. We only take six months of the course, focussing only on the major learnings of photography. Our artistic talent of photography made them decide to accept us. And Sarah and I are beyond thankful. However, I can't deny the fact, that being able to work with the biggest advertising in the industry for a week will help my photography career boosts, if ever I decide to pursue it.

Ms. S. clears her throat. "Don't cry now, Allen." She jokes.

Ok. Evidently there is something wrong with Ms. S. Her throwing a joke over this situation is something unacceptable. This is so not her.

"Ms. A." Allen whines.

She laughs. "There's no need to cry students." Then she pauses, and her expression becomes serious again.

Sarah and I look at each other.

"She's being weird." Sarah mouths.

I nod. Agreeing with Sarah. Aside from throwing a joke and not sharing the same feeling with us. It's not likely Ms. S to pause her word for every statement she makes. She is a very direct person. Good or bad news she would tell us immediately. Unless. I glance up at Ms. S.

Our eyes meet. Little by little her smile widens.

"No more whining and crying students." She clasps her hand as she pauses her statement again. Glancing to us one by one, her wide smile in her face becomes wider and wider. "Because the said photo shoot is happening in Santa Monica!" She continues, as she shouts in excitement, spreading her arms wide.

I raise my brow and look at Sarah. Her reaction mirrors mine. Our jaw drops, eyes wide open as we squel and jump in joy.

"Are you serious right now Ms. S?" I hear someone asks.
