"Rosé we don't have to continue that bet. It's childish." Lisa whispers to Rosé, spreading her arms full.
Letting a soft chuckle, Rosé tells Lisa that they have always been childish. She remind her bestfriend in case Lisa have forgotten it. With a sigh she lends her back; crossing her hands below her chests. She cannot believe what she hears from her bestfriend. She always knows Lisa. She loves challenges, she loves games, especially when it involves feelings. Lisa enjoys it when she can lure someone under her spell. She enjoys the idea of people being in love with her, being crazy about her. With all these changes in Lisa's attitude, Rosé already wants to consider that her best friend is crazy in love with the woman she had a one night stand in Paris. Though, it confuses her because before Lisa left for Paris, her bestfriend was also acting weird because of a woman who happens to work here in SIP. And Rosé was sure close to it. It was the first time she saw Lisa acting weird. She even learned from John, Lisa's bodyguard that her bestfriend has been coming here since she encountered the woman. But unfortunately, Lisa never had a chance to meet her again. That was the reason why Lisa was being moody a day before she left for Paris. Rosé continues to observe her bestfriend, fidgeting, being uneasy on her seat. This is not her best friend, Rosé thought to herself. This sudden change of attitude is something new to her. She's happy about it, but she also needs to help Lisa to stop thinking about the woman she met in Paris. Now she's torn.
Seeing Rosé watching her, it makes Lisa more uncomfortable. So she did what she thinks that can stop her bestfriend from questioning her. She raises her eyebrow and mumbles, "What?". But Rosé just shrugs and continues studying her. "Lay off! Ok. I know we have always been doing stupid things, but we don't have to always behave like that." Lisa's voice turns into a whisper. It was too low that even her, she can't hear it.
"Wow! The gist of that woman to you really amazes me, Lisa." Shaking her head, Rosé lets out a heavy sigh. "I'm just wondering, where did the old Lisa go? The playful one and not the boring woman that I am encountering now a days."
"Stop!" Lisa came in defense. "I simply don't want to complicate things." Her voice sounded haughty, finally making an eye contact with Rosé. "Is that difficult to understand?"
Rosé wants to laugh. But seeing Lisa so serious right now made her decide not to. She doesn't want to offend her. She wants to have a smooth conversation with her bestfriend. She wants to sort things out. She wants to help her. And she thinks that this time is the right moment for them to talk about it. Lisa has been avoiding this topic for a long time now. And Rosé is convinced that now is the right time to talk about it. So she leans forward and cups her bestfriend's face. Lisa attempts to pull her face on Rose's hand, but she fails miserably.
"Look at me!" Rosé commands her bestfriend.
With eyebrows raise, Lisa looks at Rosé. "What?"
Rosé gives a disarming smile, then she trails her thumb on Lisa's soft cheeks. "Tell me something I don't know."
Lisa blinks out. She's taken aback, she wasn't expecting it. She then gets Rosé's hands on her face and take it to her lap. She decides not to let go of it, as she looks into Rosé's face; she studies it, trying to read Rosé's facial features. Rosé face is serious. But it's pleasant and warm. Lisa knows that her bestfriend wants to know what she is feeling. It is not because she is curious, or she just wants to invade her personal life. It's a seriousness of concern, and Lisa knows that the right thing to do is admit to Rosé what's really bothering her. She has to do something, she needs to do something before it eats her out. Before it explodes. This is something new to her, and it is very strong and unstoppable. Telling Rosé might help her let out of this unfamiliar feeling. She has to admit that she needs help. She needs someone to talk. And she needs someone to help her find the woman, because she needs an answer. She demands an answer. And hiding it from her bestfriend won't help her work out this problem. The woman Lisa had encountered in Paris is really mysterious. Even the investigator she hires is having a trouble tracking her. Now it's been months, and Lisa hasn't received any good news from him. It makes her frustrated, it makes her furious. Angry to herself mostly. Lisa eyebrows lowered and drawn together, her eyes narrowed producing an intense gaze.
