The cool breeze of the afternoon air lifts my damp hair and ruffles the hem of my black coat. Feeling the coldness of the air, I put my hands inside my pocket and try to close the gap of my coat. This is my favorite month of the year. Because this is the time where I can walk and enjoy the view of New York city without worrying about getting a sunburn. Rambling in the street of New York city is one thing that I like. Also, this is the beginning of the month that I can be free from the hustle and bustle of the city main streets. Long traffic is very common here, even in regular hours you can still experience it. That is why during this season, I prefer walking to my apartment than bringing my car to work.
"Jennie! I stop, and turn to see Jisoo running towards me. Her natural black hair sways smoothly in the air.
"Hey! Is there something wrong?"
Her nose scrunches. "You forgot this." Then she shows me my phone.
"Oh!" I gasp. "You are my savior."
She chuckles and hands me my phone. "What will you do without me?."
"I know." I hug her and give her a kiss on her forehead.
"Not again." Jisoo grumbles and then she wipes her forehead with her right hand. She hates it when I did that to her. Nonetheless, I still do it because I always enjoy watching her reaction.
"Where did you find it?" I ask, still smirking.
Jisoos lips form into a pout. "I found it on the table. You must have left it when you went to the shower."
I groan. "Oh, yeah, I texted Kai earlier that I was on my way to the apartment. Perhaps, I forgot to put it back in my bag."
"That explains the missed calls from Kai."
I unlock my phone and see the five missed calls. I press the call button and wait for Kai to answer the call. After three tries, he finally answers his phone.
"Hey, Hon. Sorry about that. I was parking my car that's why it took me so long to pick up the phone."
"It's okay. I was just worried because you had five missed calls."
"Yeah, about that; I was just going to tell you that I am not in my apartment right now. I was worried that you might go there."
"Oh, that was my plan." I chuckle. "But since you are not there I will just head straight to my apartment. Is Jin with you?"
"No, he is not with me. Jin was still sleeping when I left my apartment." Kai giggles. "So, how's your morning shift?"
"Long story." I sigh. "I will tell you later. I am actually outside the store with Jj."
