I curse as my eyes travel to the wide area of the dark water. "Ruby!" I shout but the deafening silence of the night greets me. In an instant, my anxiety starts to kick in. This can't be happening. Not now. Another second past, I still see nothing. I know from myself I have to do something. Without thinking anymore, I jump off of the water and coldness immediately envelopes me as my body sinks underneath the water. I open my eyes and my breathing begins to hitch when I see nothing but a wide dark body of water. In the rashness of the moment I begin flinging my arms, but then I feel muscle spasm on my right leg. Shit! I mentally curse myself. Please, not now. I pray as I try to swim again to the top. Burning sensation feels in my throat as I start to drink the salt water, it is  as if there's a needle that has been plugged in and out of my mouth. Is this the part will I die? Should I accept my defeat willingly? Those are the questions running in my mind as my body sinks deeper. Closing my eyes, I call out Ruby's name. I know she will not hear me, but my heart wishes she can hear my silent pleading.

*

"I'm sorry I didn't know."

"Hey, you don't have to apologize, it's not your fault."

My eyes are still closed but I hear people talking. If I am not mistaken, it is Ruby and Rosé. Wait! Why is Rosé here? I open my eyes and immediately squint it as the warm light from the open door meets my gaze, then a throbbing pain rushes through my head, feeling a little dizzy. Why am I feeling like shit? I ask myself as I slowly push my body up, so I can lean my head on the headboard.

"If only I knew she has.."

"Stop blaming yourself, you don't know she has thalassophobia."

I frown. Why are they talking about my phobia? Did something? I blink my eyes as I feel the dizziness again. Massaging my temple, I breathe deeply and as soon as my eyes close, memories from earlier come crushing in my mind. And then it hits me. My chest begins to tighten and a weight suddenly appears on my chest to the point that I cannot breathe. I grasp the sheet as I sit up straight, grabbing some air. I call Rosé and Ruby's names, but my voice is too low for them to hear me. My eyes begin to travel, looking for something I can easily reach. When I see my cellphone on the side table, I reach for it and push it hard to the ground. It creates a loud banging sound, then the next thing I see is Rosé rushing towards my direction.

"Omg, Lisa." Rosé sits in front  of me and then she holds my shoulder. "Calm down. Breath slowly." She instructs me without leaving her eyes on mine. "You are safe now."

When I hear her voice, I close my eyes and force myself to breathe steadily.

"You are safe now, calm down." Then I feel her warm hug as she starts caressing my back.

I begin relaxing under her touch and gradually

my breathing starts to become normal. "Good, that's it babe. You are safe now." She gives me assurance again. "There's nothing to be afraid of."

"Thank you."

"No worries." She replies, kissing my temple.

Slowly, I break our hugs and I see her smiling at me and then her gaze travels to my side. I follow her eyes and I see Ruby standing a few meters away from us. Did she see me panicking? I don't know why I still bother to ask when concern is vividly written on her beautiful face. Now, she will feel more guilty. And just thinking about it makes my heart ache, so I immediately give her a sweet smile. I don't want her, blaming herself for what happened.

"Ha - hii! She stutters as she gives me a shy smile. Even if she waves her hand at me I can still sense her hesitation.

"I'll leave you two alone to talk."
