it was a few weeks after their wedding. tyler had been pulling away from josh. and josh.
he was concerned.
he sat next to tyler on their couch in their living room. they had a house together, and a dog, jim.
jim was at josh feet as tyler bit his nails.
"why are you lying to me recently?" josh asked the love of his life.
"i-..."
"are you cheating... on me?"
tyler started to cry.
is that a yes? he got caught, now he's crying, josh thought.
tyler's cries were barely noticeable, but josh knew him.
oh josh hates when tyler cries.
"yes...?" josh asked
tyler grabbed josh's hands and specifically put his ring finger on josh's.
"no."
"then why are you crying?"
"h-how did you know i lied to you? when i told you where i was?"
"i know your body language, ty. i know when you lie."
"oh... god..."
he started to cry even more, to where it was now noticiable.
"my father...."
"is this something about your trauma?"
tyler nodded.
"talk.. talk when you're ready then."
he was quiet for a second.
"all these issues are his fault. im so good at telling lies. that came from my mothers side. told a million to survive."
josh listened to tyler's shallow breathing.
"i don't have to lie anymore."
"i love you."
"I know. you know when i lie. i lived with him for seventeen years. and he never knew when i lied."
"tyler, where were you?"
"w-with my mom."
"and you had to lie about that?"
"force of habit, j."
"oh god tyler."
josh grabbed his head and pulled tyler close.
"I love you, josh dun."
"I love you, tyler dun."
"im always worried about my family line."
"I know."
"im sorry," tyler sobbed.
"you will never have to worry, as long as im here, about your family line."
a/n: welcome to the end.
