BACK TO ZERO

"BABE!" AGAD kong salubong kay Lucas ng makita ko siya, tumakbo ako palapit sa kanya at sinalubong naman niya ako ng yakap.

"Your here" sabi ko habang nakayakap pa din, he caress my hair then hug me tight "Of course, I can't miss this special day of yours"

"Thank you" sabi ko paghiwalay sa kanya, he gave my head a pat then he smiled at me "Congratulations Babe" he said and I smiled at him, then handed him my certificate.

"I survived collage life Babe, I passed" I said proud and he's more than proud of me. "You are you, and you're smart Babe" sabi niya, and I nooded.

"Picture" sabi ni Mom paglapit sa'min, we took some pictures together. Lucas and I are in a relationship for almost four years now.

We started in a relationship during first year college, and they support us like how we support each other. Galing sa ibang bansa si Lucas for his exam.

"Hindi ka man lang nagpasundo" sabi ni Dad kay Lucas, were having a dinner in our home. "No need Tito, I actually want to surprise Olivia, and my friends fetch me in the airport earlier"

"Naku, mukhang dumiretso ka pa sa ceremony ni Olivia kanina, hindi ka naman pagod? Or gusto mo magpahinga?" tanong ni Mom ngumiti lang si Lucas sa kanila.

"I'm good Tita, and besides that was my plan, talagang deretso po ang punta ko sa ceremony ni  Olivia kanina, no need to worry Tita" Lucas answer then smiled at me, so I smiled too.

They just ask Lucas questions and so I, minsan ako ang tinatanong nila, kung balak na namin magsama? Like what the? Lucas and I never plan to live in one roof before the marriage.

We actually plan to have a house if we are married. And I'm glad Lucas have a good terms to Mom and Dad, they really accept Lucas not as my man or my boyfriend, but as a son and a family too.

"Ingat kayo" sabi ni Mom, tumango naman kami "Lucas, ang anak ko ah? Usapan natin, kasal muna? Bago anak" sabi ni Dad, natawa naman kami pareho, samantalang ako ay napa-iling na lang sa sinabi ni Dad.

"Dad! Looks like we're doing something" sabi ko pero tinawanan lang nila ako, "Olivia's safety first before mine Tito" sagot ni Lucas kay Dad na tinanguan lang ni Dad.

"Enjoy anak" sabi ni Mom, nagpaalam na kami dahil baka di pa kami maka-alis. Sumakay na kami sa kotse ni Lucas. Kumaway na muna ako sa kanila bago kami umalis.

Nag-aya sila na mag bakasyon, call for a celebration for us, and for me? Naka-ready na ang gamit ko na nasa back seat lang ng kotse ni Lucas.

"Its been a long time, since I met your friends" sabi ko dahil ang last na kita ko sa mga kaibigan niya ay yung nandito pa siya, he held my hand, he glance at me for a second then to the road.

"They still the same, mabait pa din sila Babe, easy okay? Your welcome on their world" sabi ni Lucas na tinanguan ko lang, maybe Lucas's words make me calm.
