After a full night of discussing the mater with Damon. I was now holding Lovie in my arms and rocking her back and forth making her just fallen asleep after taking something for her head pain. Corlys and I walked at each other's side on our way into the grate hall. We had something to announce to everyone before they would part ways after everything that had happened yesterday.

After much rigorous planning and arranging it was decided that Lovie was to stay with me for her safety and to be guided trough her lessons before inheriting the Velaryon throne. Because of this arrangement I had became thehappiest woman in the world knowing that she wouldn't leave my side as she had done these past 5 years. My dear granddaughter was the last hope I had after all. Our legacy laid in my arms that night. A true legacy.

We reached the main hall and there we hauled in front of the crowd ready to news before everyone returned home. Ready to make the announcement to all of the high nobles, we stood proudly with our heir in arms. "We are here to say one last good bye to all. It has been a generous couple of days and we are most thankful for the support of the house Targaryen. Words cannot describe how thankful we are to have all of you joined us in such hard times. I have lost my lovely daughter, and some of us have lost more than others last night. After what has happened here we have made a decision.... for the better of our people. We have decided to name our only Granddaughter princess Dhaenys to be the future lady of Driftmark." Corlys announced it and I could see anger come from my son and his wife the princess as they no doubt thought that such tittle would be past on to their illegitimate child. "In memory of our dear Laena."

Not everyone was happy with the decision we had made as a family as we could see by Raynera stormed out with her children. She knew Lovie was a threat to her boys but I cared all the same. Just after, Daemon approached me one last time before parting ways with his face high, proud of the decision that would make his daughter queen of the tides one day.
