The idea had been discussed and before you knew it the council expected the idea and started brainstorming of how to execute it. Dhaenys would be protected at the end of the day which made me feel better knowing that my family would be forced to protect her once the time came. Yet I still did not know how the public would take it. After all they saw here at the coronation escaping.
However that was my job. I took a couple of guards, and a Maester ready to address the citizens, hope that this would all be resolved quickly. I came forth a the city square and the horn was played making everyone gather around and listen to the important royal news.
"Citizens of kings landing. Today we have an important message form our king, and presented by the prince himself. Please come around and let us share important news... my prince." The guard came behind me as I just looked over the scared man, woman, and child being affected by this war every day.
"As you all have heard there has been a terrible misunderstanding. It pains me to know that my name... as well as the name of Princess Dhaenys have been mentioned in stories of murder and treason... well I have come forth to give an end to these accusations. The so called queen has harmed the blood of the dragon as you have seen the death of my nephew and niece. She has murmured innocent defensive souls, however... they are not the only one that have suffered. I come to testify in front of the good people to say the stories are a lie. I did not kill prince Luce out of revenge no.... My intentions were always to save my dear cousin and friend the Princess. That they of the tragedy we had heard of the capture of Princess Dhaenys. She herself asked for protection the day we met at storms end. She who came to me and after I did my best to protect her, to bring her back to her family. Yet Prince Lucerys did all he could to take her back to dragon storm.
We fought in the skies as I tied my best to not engage in combat. My priority was always the safety of the princess who was my dear friend for years since my so called nephews took my eye in Driftmark. Yet... his dragon fought back at me spitting fire, making the princess tumble. I was almost close enough to reach her when the prince Lucerys decided it was not worth a fight and decided to end the princess life right then and there. The prince pushed her off his dragon and I did the only thing a good man would, avenge the name of his one friend and... love if his life."
