Where Oikawa and Hinata are trying to enjoy life but Iwaizumi has to be there to keep them in check
Hinata snuggled up to Oikawa, burying his head in his chest for warmth. It was a cold morning, signifying the gradual change of seasons from autumn to winter.
Oikawa started to stir, pulling Hinata closer to him. "Goodness, Shoyo. Why are you so cold?" he mumbled, rubbing his eyes. He yawned, pulling himself up. Hinata groaned, still holding onto a corner of Oikawa's shirt, unwilling to let go.
"Do you still want breakfast or not?" Oikawa teased, tapping Hinata's nose playfully. Hinata pouted, reluctantly releasing his grip on Oikawa.
"I'll be quick, okay?" Oikawa promised, getting out of bed. He pulled up the blanket, making sure that Hinata was well covered before heading to the bathroom to get washed up.
...
If there was one thing that came with winter, it was seasonal depression. And Hinata's seasonal depression was no joke. As someone who was so bright and bubbly, not being able to see the sun took a huge toll on him.
Which led to Oikawa's grand "how to get Hinata out of seasonal depression" plan.
Number one on his list: a nice and warm breakfast - even better if it was tamago kake gohan.
"Shoyo, time to get up~" Oikawa called, pulling Hinata up by the arms into a sitting position.
Hinata groaned. "I don't wanna get up," he complained, throwing his weight onto Oikawa.
"I made your favourite." Oikawa said, ruffling his hair. "If you don't get up, I'm just going to have to take your portion as well."
And with that, Hinata was up.
Oikawa grinned triumphantly, which earned him a nasty glare from the younger boy.
"Come out soon," he said, planting a kiss on Hinata's forehead before getting up to leave the room.
...
"Iwa-chan! You didn't tell me that you were coming over."
"Have I ever needed your permission to come get?" Iwaizumi countered, brushing past Oikawa to enter the house.
"Well anyhow, that's great! Sho-chan hasn't been feeling too well lately." Oikawa said, following Iwaizumi to the living room.
"You're his boyfriend. Not me." Iwaizumi grumbled, though of course he didn't mean it - and Oikawa knew too. Really, Iwaizumi doted on the first year so much that sometimes their teammates would joke that Iwaizumi was his boyfriend, not Oikawa (no harm intended).
Iwaizumi could hear the television blaring, and as the living room came into sight, he could see that a volleyball game was playing.
Looking over the couch, there Hinata was, huddled up under a blanket, chewing on a meat bun.
"Hey."
Hinata rolled over onto his back. "Iwaizumi-san?" he asked, a little surprised.
"Don't eat while lying down. You'll get indigestion." Iwaizumi chided, shaking his head in disapproval.
Hinata begrudgingly pulled himself upright, earning himself a head pat from the older third year.
"Geez. Just a few days at home by yourselves and the house has already become such a mess." Iwaizumi said, scanning the room. There were clothes lying everywhere. On chairs, the couch, on the floor. "No wonder your mom asked me to check in on you guys."
"She did?" Oikawa asked in surprise, throwing himself onto the couch. Hinata had already settled back down, wrapping his blanket around him tightly.
"She told me to drag you guys out of the house if I had to." Iwaizumi said, his eyes twinkling mischievously as he cracked his knuckles. "So get your asses out of here."
Oikawa flinched.
