Episode Eight

     A/N: SOOOO i realized that in the last chapter when Kakashi was talking about the KIA stone he said y/n, instead of Kaoru, soo just pretend that that didnt happen ;p 

The next few days were filled with according to Sasuke 'boring missions' and, well, I had to agree with him, when i checked in the records, it seemed they were doing boring missions like weeding and walking dogs, like when i became a genin, my first mission was to assinate some evil dictator, though i supose that was a different story heh

When I finally got back and teleported into the hokages office, i was met with the faces of team 7, Naruto was talking to team 7 about, ramen? Whatever

I turned and gave the hokage the scroll that I had to retrieve from the mission and turned around just as iruka (for some reason it autocorrected to Ursula? Like wtf?) started yelling at Naruto and team seven about how they're genin and that they can't go on more dangerous missions

"Iruka" I went and placed a hand on his shoulder, stopping him from continuing, "don't worry, they'll be fine, I'll be there to protect them" he sighed

"Plus" Kakashi added "they're my students now, not yours"

The hokage sighed, "well how about we give you a c rank mission, you're going to be escorting someone"

"O-oo, who are we escorting, a princess, an important person?!" Naruto frantically questioned

'Heh like they would give a genin team a mission escorting a lord or princess'

" send him in" the hokage called

Everyone turned towards the door as a drunken man stepped through holding a bottle of what looked like sake,

He took one look around the room and slured "you really expect me to go with them, especially the small idiotic looking one" I had to cover my mouth to stop from laughing, already knowing who he was talking about

The three lined up, Sasuke was the tallest, then Sakura, and finally Naruto, he growled and jumped at the man, I grabbed his collar before he could reach him,

"You can't attack the client Naruto" a scolded and dropped him down once he calmed down

The man looked me up and down "and who are you supposed to be?" He questioned

"You know it's curtesy to state your own name before you start asking questions" I crossed my arms

"I'm tazuna and you all better protect me with your lives" I raised an eyebrow, not like they could see it because of my mask, but one thought crossed my mind

'If it's a simple c rank mission, then why would we need to risk our lives?' Hmmmm 'maybe it's worth looking in to'

I realized that everyone was looking at me and tazuna cleared his throat, I snapped out of it

"Kaoru" I looked at him

"Hmph" he turned away

"Ok we'll meet at the gates later today" Kakashi met my eyes, signaling that he wanted to talk,

//Timeskip//

Me and Kakashi were currently outside,

"Well? What is it hatake" I crossed my arms and started tapping my foot impatiently

"You know something about that man, tazuna" he matched my tone

I sighed impatiently " yes" I paused "he said that would have to risk our lives, but why would we have to risk our lives for a c rank mission?"

"Hmmm" Kakashi held up a finger in thought "I don't think he's going to talk, and we're going on the mission soon anyways, so for now I would just watch your back"
