Episode Seventeen

y/n POV

"Sasuke" he turned around to face me, we had just gotten home and there was something i needed to talk to him about,

"What" he went get a tomato from the cabinet

"I have a feeling Kakashi is going to sign you and and the rest of team 7 up for the chunin exams this year" 'i also think guy is signing up his team for the exams this year as well'

"So?" an irk appeared on my forehead, reminding me of the mark i now had because of his stupid pebble, i went and chopped him on his head and stars appeared around his head

"Anyways" i sat down on the table "this year, as you have seen from those sand nin, there are going to be strong opponents, and not to mention i have a bad feeling about this years exams"

I stared sasuke in his eyes seriously and he set his half finished tomato on the counter, his eyes grew serious as well

"Sasuke, you have my kunai right?" he nodded and pulled it out, "make sure you keep that on you at all times, if you're ever in trouble, put some of your chakra in here and ill know"

'I have a feeling that sasuke is going to be targeted for his powers, namely by a roach in my- i mean orochimaru, I know that Itachi had had trouble with him, but orochimaru has no hope of defeating Itachi, so he'll probably set his sights on sasuke'

"Ok, well goodnight Sasuke" i stood up and hugged him, he seemed surprised, "stay safe"

Sasukes POV

y/n was giving me a lecture about the chunin exams, she always worries so much, but i get why, i was the only one she had, and vise versa, even though it sometimes seemed like i didnt care about her, i did, shes like a sister to me

After she was finished, she came up and hugged me, "stay safe" and then she went into her room, i stayed there for a moment, y/n never really showed her emotions, well not her true emotions

Sure she was energetic and loud and all smiley on the outside, but those werent her real emotions, she went through exactly what i did, but she was older so she was expected to move on and be better about handling her emotions

She even lost both of her brothers, but she was better a faking her emotions, id only ever saw her cry a couple of times, though it had to have been the first time that had scared me the most

//FLASHBACK//

3rd POV

"n/n-nii?" a young 7 year old boy, walked down the hallway to a slightly cracked open door,

He looked inside to see a girl sitting on her bed clutching a photo, crying silently, pain in her eyes,

She suddenly looked over and noticed the boy at her doorway, she quickly wiped away her tears and motioned for the boy to come in

"Did you need something sasuke?" she asked her voice slightly hoarse and her eyes red and puffy

The boy tightened the grip he had on his small blanket and rushed forward and enveloped the girl in a hug, his small hands holding the cloth of her shirt, burying his face into her chest

"n/n-nii i promise that i will avenge everyone" he whispered into her neck, tears coming out of his eyes, "i was scared" he whispered, getting flashbacks to that night

"Shhh, its ok sasu, you're safe now, im not going to let anyone else hurt you" she held him tightly as more tears made their way through her eyes

That night, the both of them went to sleep holding eachother and comforting eachother as they cried

Sasukes POV

That was one of the only times id ever seen her vulnerable side, and one of the last, which is what made me want to kill itachi even more, hes the cause for her pain, hes the reason everything is messed up

//TIMESKIP//

y/n POV (next day)

"So, you did sign them up for the exams huh, Hatake" i had both hands folded behind my head as i walked,

"Yeah, kureni, asuma, and guy all signed up their teams as well"

I sighed "i assumed as much, it seems that this will be an interesting year for the chunin exams"

"Oh? And why's that?" kakashi questioned,

"Theres a jinchuriki from the sand, i think his name was maara or something like that als– wait why am i even telling you this?"

'Im supposed to hate you' i thought as i turned my head the other way, hatake seemed about to say something but we had already made it to the bridge where we were supposed to meet team 7,

I kinda zoned out while they were talking, when i was shaken by someone, I started to yell at them but stopped when i noticed it was tenzo (yamato)

"Hey tenzo long time no see" i put up my hand for a high five and he sighed and returned it "what did i say about using my real name"

I shrugged and stood up, "so mission im assuming, what is it now? Assassinating someone? Stealth mission?" i jumped on the balls of my feet

"No, danzo would like to talk you" i wrinkled my nose, what does that old geezer want, i never really liked him, he was super suspicious, and one time when i had brought up when we were 13 about how danzo wanted to talk to me, itachi started acting weird and told me to stay away from danzo

"Ugh fine, where"

Once i got to the location, i saw Danzo with two ANBU next to him, "what now danzo, i got things to do and places to be, so dont waste my time"

"You shall not talk to your elders like that" he slammed his walking stick on the ground

"Yeah yeah whatever old man" i narrowed my eyes "so then mind telling me why theres about 20 ANBU ready to attack me?"

Now that i dont have writers block im writing these chapters faster than Sakura can say Sasuke-kun, it also helps that i have like no life, but that doesnt matter, i already have written another chapter so ill probably upload that after this one because i know that once i go to school again, updates will be pretty slow again, and i might write some chapters and upload them whenever im super busy and cant upload them, hope yall are having a good day/night/evening

i know sasuke is a but ooc but its actually really hard to write a character like sasuke who has a lot of depth to his character
