Y/N POV

I yawned as i stretched both my arms, looking outside, i quickly realized something wasnt right, why was it lighter than it should be,

I froze as I remembered something, i had broken my alarm clock in one of the earlier chapters... wait what? Nevermind, that was the least of my worries

I was so late for the exams, judging by where the sun was positioned in the sky, it was around noon (idk when orochimaru attacked so im just gonna say around the afternoon time)

"Shit shit shit" i scrambled out of bed, and hastily put on all my gear, after grabbing a piece of toast from the counter, i ran out of the apartment and sprinted all the way to arena, where i could hear cheering and sounds of battle

"Oh is that?"

"Y/NN SENSEI YOU'RE LATE" naruto screamed making nearly everyone in the arena look over to our direction

"Ah, yeah sorry, i saw an old lady who needed help carrying her groceries" 'that was a total lie, whatever, naruto will believe anything'

"Hmph fine!" naruto crossed his arms as i went to stand beside shikamaru, "so whos gone so far?" i glanced at the boy, who as always had a tired look on his face, relatable

"Naruto fought neji and won, the next was supposed to be sasuke and gaara but they're not here yet, and so it went to shino and kankuro, but kankuro forfeited, now its me vs that sand ninja temari" he sighed

"Wow, so naruto really beat neji?" i questioned taking in everything he had said, though i had to admit, i was pretty surprised that naruto beat neji,

I know that he has the 9 tails, but other than that, his skills are pretty lacking, jiraiya must have put him through some serious training

"HEY ITS NOT THAT SURPRISING!!" the yellow highlighter screamed, making me glance at him from the corner of my eye

"Hn" was all i said in response

"Well looks like you're up shikamaru" i patted him on the back "good luck"

"Thanks y/n" he responded and then made his way down to the pit (?)

(so i dont really feel like going back and watching the whole fight for this, so im going to be mostly writing this off of memory)

I made my way to an open seat right in the front, giving me a full view of what was going on, even though that sand girl had a lot more power and strength in her jutsu than shikamaru, she didnt have his smarts

"The outcome of this fight was decided the moment the both of them stepped into the arena" i mumbled to myself

Shikamaru ended up quitting, i could tell he was almost out of chakra, but it was obvious who was the winner,

"Shikamaru, im lazy too, but i never would have imagined you wouldve forfeited the fight" i narrowed my eyes at him, making him shrug his shoulders, i sighed and rubbed my hands together, now it was time for sasukes fight, but that idiot wasnt here yet

"Where are you duckbutt" if he didnt come soon, then he would be immediately kicked out and gaara would ultimately be declared the winner

"Something bads gonna happen" i whispered, mostly to myself

The crowd was starting to get restless, some even started yelling and complaining about sasuke being late
