How did the years flash by?
I could've sworn last month I just turned nine.
But it's been years.
How did they all just disappear?
There no more playing house, or climbing trees.
I can't remember the last time I played 'Hide n Seek'.
What has time done to me?
One moment I was saying "Tag you're it!"
The next I'm now screaming "I just can't take it!"
Life has changed in the blink of an eye.
At this rate who knows when I'll die.
I could pass at the age of seventy
In just a month or three.
I couldn't tell you exactly how I got here,
But I'm going to lift my head,
Get out of bed,
And reside in the moment.
