Who You Are

The candle burns
Flame creeping down the wick.
No matter how much for a reprieve it yearns
The delecate wax melts quick.

People tell the candle to just calm down.
You're only useful until you burnout.
You look so ugly with that frown
No need to be so full of doubt.

Keep up the pace.
Continue to put all you have into what you do.
There's no room to give yourself grace.
You just need to get through.

Push and push 'til you have nothing left to give,
Until you have no one to blame but the one you can't forgive.
