It only took a few glasses of wine along with a few beers for you and the admiral to find out that you both knew idiot Luffy, not to mention stubborn Ace. That night you cried with laughter as you listened to Garp prattling about the pranks those two got up to when they were young, although sometimes he seemed to have a hint of nostalgia in his voice, as if there was something or someone missing in those stories.

Not wanting to push those possibly sensitive buttons, you started sharing some of your embarrassing antics which you could remember. Garp was another of those who knew your adoptive father, you began to suspect that that damn old man was famous or someone highly sought after in his young days.

"Get some rest."

The marine got up, taking the last sip of his beer, you nodded smiling at the man who safely walked away towards his cabin. With no time to waste and not caring about the fact that you weren't completely sober, you grabbed your wrench to continue tightening some bolts. You planned to continue repairing everything but it seemed that you were not going to continue, before you could reach the other materials in your backpack, something hit your head so hard that your forehead hit the side of your plane.

"What-"

Looking down at the ground finding a cork stopper with some smoke coming out of it, you slowly turned around wondering who the hell has that damned strength to throw objects and with such precision, your inner questions were resolved by seeing Garp standing idly by.

"What did I say about resting?"

"Hey, I appreciate your concern but I'm older and I don't need- OUCH!"

Another cork stopper hit your forehead leaving a red mark, you fell completely backwards, undoing your sitting indian position to lie like a starfish in the sun.

"My ship my rules, it's time to sleep."

"Geez... now I understand why Luffy is so hyperactive." You froze when you saw how this time the cork fell next to your head, making a hole of considerable thickness, laughing nervously you grabbed the cushion that you used to carry so as not to break your neck if you needed to sleep "Ehem, I mean, good night admiral may you have sweet dreams, I'm sure I will."

He rolled his eyes leaving you but not before throwing the last stopper making you hiss in pain from the impact on your shoulder, you rubbed the affected area with a frown while you closed your eyes trying to be able to sleep for once. It wasn't a good sleep as you expected, but you were used to spending the nights tossing and turning with your eyes closed without getting any proper sleep so it didn't affect you much either.

It took a few days until you finally finished the repairs along with the small improvements, you waited another couple of days because you wanted to get to the mainland to restock materials and food for your journey.

"This is where our paths separate, I hope I don't have to see you in the navy barracks or in any prison."

"Pff- I never get in trouble." he looked at you raising an eyebrow, remembering how you blew up a mix you were playing with a few days ago "Well, most of the time I don't get in trouble..."

With a handshake you ended the brief farewell to your little adventure by going your separate ways. As soon as you got home a lot, a lot of work awaited you, apparently someone 'anonymous' had entered your house, leaving everything a mess, and the anonymous thing was not a secret because you knew that they had been those stupid pirates from whom you stole the ship to lend it.

But you had just come back from the long trip and you didn't feel like putting all that garbage in its corresponding garbage heap, so you will leave the revenge for another time, rather, you were just designing some new weapons that you already knew with whom you were going to experiment. Without giving yourself the slightest break, you started designing while listening to some music in the background, you missed being able to work in peace with yourself, without waves, without Shanks and even though Garp was not annoying, having marines from one place to another was not the most reassuring thing in the world.

You decided to have a little break for a few minutes in which you simply dissociated looking at the ground, emptying your mind for a few seconds until you began to feel that something was approaching at great speed, call it sixth sense, call it haki, but by now you knew when something was falling from a certain height.

You looked at the ceiling expecting something to crash into it, maybe it would be some frightened animal, someone throwing trash on your ceiling or both, but what you didn't expect was a half-naked man crashing through the ceiling landing right in front of you.

"God..."

You weren't even impressed when you saw how the guy stood up in an instant as if nothing had happened, you just wanted to kill him with machetes for messing up your house more, if that wasn't enough to break your damn ceiling.

"God! That's me, little human."

"God? Are you God?"

"The one and only, you should kneel for me."

You clenched your fists looking at the blond man, you made the gesture of bending down but it was only a false action to gain momentum and jump towards him with fire in your eyes.

"GOD? Fuck you man, if you're God fix my fucking roof right now motherfucker!"

You pulled his strange long ear without compassion while he could only complain, trying to use his devil fruit without success, it was not for nothing that he had fallen to the world of mortals, something was making it difficult for him to use his powers, if not you would already be a fried rat.

"Damn human, stop right now!"

"I'll stop when you can perform miracles and fix my roof!"
