Serena Tells Loki How She Feels

Chapter 10

After Serena told Loki how she was feeling, he finally understood why she was so upset with him. Loki finally said, "Serena, I'm so sorry. If I could take it back, then I would but unfortunately, I can't. But I promise you that I will do my best to make it up to you. Loki said softly. "If you will let me." Serena said with tears beginning to fill her eyes. Serena said softly, "I don't know, Loki. I need some time to think about it." Then Serena runs off towards her bedroom and leaves Loki standing there. Loki's heart is broken into a million pieces as he watches Serena run away in tears. Just then Thor came up behind Loki after hearing his and Serena's conservation. "Brother are you going to be, Ok?" Loki got startled by Thor's presence and asked, "Thor, how long have you been there?" Thor said, "Long enough to know that you're hurting." Loki drops his head and says, "Thor, I hurt her so bad. How can she ever forgive me?" Thor said, "Just give her time, Loki."

Serena ran into her room and threw herself on the bed and started crying harder. Natasha walks past Serena's door and hears her crying. Natasha stops by Serena's door and knocks on it but Serena doesn't hear her. Nat finally speaks to Serena, "Serena are you Ok?" Serena is startled by the sudden appearance of Nat. Serena lied and said, "Yes. I'm fine. It just...." Nat interrupts Serena and said, "Don't tell me it's the Midgardian air this time because I know better." Nat continues, "Please tell me what's wrong. Is it Loki?" Tears started forming in her eyes again. Nat waited outside of Serena's door, waiting for an answer. Finally, she heard Serena walking towards the door. When Serena finally opened the door, Nat could tell that she had been crying for a while. Serena's eyes were all red and swollen from the tears she's been crying over Loki. Serena lets Nat inside of her room then closes the door. Nat asked Serena, "Now tell me what's wrong? What has Loki done to make you so upset?" Serena said, "It's not just Loki but me as well." Nat listens attentively. Serena goes on, "Loki said that he still loves me and wants to make amends for what he has done but I don't know IF I can do that. Even though I still love him with all of my heart and soul. I don't know what to do." Serena started crying even more now. Nat was at a loss for words, at least for a moment.

Then Nat said, "Maybe Loki's telling the truth and you should try and give him a second chance." Serena asked, "What about his betrayal? How can I forgive that?" Nat said, "Loki did say he was sorry and that it was a mistake. That the woman tricked him." Nat continues, "Serena, is there anyone else on Asgard that has the powers to trick someone?" Serena thought for a moment and then a sudden angry look came upon her face. Serena said, "Yes, there is one such person who uses her magic to get what she wants.....The Enchantress!" Nat asked Serena, "Could it have been her disguised as you when you went to Loki's room?" Serena said, "Oh, no! What have I done! Of course, it had to be The Enchantress who pretended to be me. Loki wouldn't have known the difference especially if she was disguised as me. I SHOULD HAVE BELIEVED HIM!" Serena cried. Nat said, "It's not too late to go to him and tell him what you have discovered. I'm sure he would believe you." Serena said, "But I said so many hurtful things to him. Would he ever forgive me?"
