Loki And Serena's Wedding Day

Chapter 34

Finally, the big day came, Loki and Serena's wedding. Nat and Wanda accompanied Serena to her chamber to get ready for the wedding. Serena puts on her wedding gown and the royal handmaidens fix Serena's hair. When Nat and Wanda saw Serena in her wedding gown, they both said, "You look beautiful!" Serena said, "Thank you. I hope Loki likes it as much as you do." Nat said, "How could he not like it? You're gorgeous!" Serena smiled at her friends. Queen Frigga asked, "Serena, are you ready my dear?" Serena said, "Yes my queen." Frigga said, "Let's go then my dear. Your future husband awaits you." Frigga tells Nat and Wanda, "You will stand beside me at the royal throne. Serena will walk down the aisle by herself and meet Loki at Odin's throne. There they will become husband and wife, the new king and queen of Asgard. Then Odin and I will step down from the throne. Odin will pass on his staff, Gungnir, to Loki, making him the new All Father." Wanda asked, "Loki will be the new All Father?" Frigga said, "Yes." Thor asked Loki, "Are you ready my brother?" Loki said, "Yes, brother. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time." Thor said, "Well, brother, let's not keep her waiting let's go."

Nat and Wanda stood beside Queen Frigga and Thor, Steve, Sam and Tony stood beside Odin. Loki stood at the bottom of the steps in front of Odin. The big golden doors open, and Serena walks down the long hallway to meet Loki at Odin's throne. Odin stood up and raised his staff, Gungnir and everyone in the room got quiet. Odin then asks Serena some questions, "Fair maiden of Asgard are you prepared to uphold the Asgardian tradition?" Serena replies, "Yes your, majesty." Odin continues, "Will you defend the throne from any threat that may come?" Serena replies, "Yes your, majesty." Odin continues with his questions, "Do you pledge your faithfulness and loyalty to your future King Loki of Asgard?" Serena replies again, "Yes your majesty." Odin asks one last question, "Will you continue the royal bloodline of Odinson?" Serena replies, "Yes your majesty." With that Odin bangs his staff on the ground. Then announces to the guests, "I Odin, the All Father, hereby claim this marriage is official and Serena shall be part of the royal family as Queen of Asgard. Should there be anyone here to object, let it be known now." There was silence among the guests. "I Odin proclaim them to be King and Queen of Asgard." There was thunderous applause for the "new" King and Queen of Asgard.

King Loki and Queen Serena went to the dining room to have their reception. The Avengers followed Loki and Serena to the dining room, where Loki and Serena had their first dance as husband and wife. Nat and Wanda were the first to congratulate Loki and Serena. The rest of The Avengers followed Wanda and Nat's lead. Nat asked Serena, "How does it feel to be Queen of Asgard?" Serena said, "It feels really good. I believe I can do much for Asgard and the nine realms." Wanda asked, "Does that mean you are not returning with us to Earth as an Avenger?" Serena looked down in sorrow, "I can not my friends. My place is here on Asgard as their Queen." Steve asked Loki the same thing and Loki's answer was the same as Serena's, "I can not Captain America. I will be needed here as Asgard's King, I'm sorry." Captain America said, "No, I understand completely. You and Serena have a kingdom to rule now." Loki tells Captain America, "If The Avengers ever need me or my queen, we will come to you." Captain America said, "Thank you, Loki." Serena asked The Avengers to stay the night and Heimdall will send them back to Midgard tomorrow. Loki and Serena said their good nights to The Avengers then went to their bedroom chambers for their wedding night.
