Serena And Loki Talk

Chapter 12

Just then there was a knock-on Serena's door, Serena asked "Who is it?" The voice replied, "It's Loki." Serena looked at Nat and said, "What do I do?" Nat said, "First let him in then talk to him as you did with me." Serena said, "It was easier to talk to you then with Loki." Nat said, "Just tell him what you told me about The Enchantress, and he'll believe you." Serena asked Nat, "Are you sure he'll believe me?" Nat said, "Yes, if he loves you like he said he does. Then yes, he'll believe you." Loki called out to Serena again, "Serena, will you let me in. I need to talk to you, please." Nat said, "He must love you. He said, "please, that's unusual for him." Nat continues, "Just let him in, Serena and talk to him." Serena nodded her head, "Yes."

Serena went to the door and opened it. There stood Loki with a tearful look on his face. Nat came behind Serena and said, "I'll talk to you later, Serena." Then she leaves. Serena invited Loki in. Loki said, "You and Natasha seem to be getting along very well." Serena said, "I like Nat. She's easy to talk to." Loki asked Serena, "What were you two talking about?" Serena said, "Different things." Loki asked, "What things?" Serena said, "We talked about Bucky and ....you." Loki asked, "What about me and Barnes?" Serena said, "Nat told me how Bucky got his metal arm and we talked about you and me and what happened on Asgard." Loki asked, "You confided in Natasha BUT NOT ME?" Serena said, "Yes, she's a woman so she understands what I'm going through." Loki said, "If you would talk to me, then maybe I would understand too." Serena looks down at the floor. Tears started to flow again. Then she looked up at Loki with tears in her eyes.

Serena said, "Well, if you really want to know what Nat and I were talking about then I'll tell you." Loki said, "Yes, I want to know." Serena said, "Ok I'll tell you. Nat asked me if there was anyone else on Asgard who could use magic or shape-shift. I told her there was one other person that I knew of.... The Enchantress. So, I think the blonde-haired woman I saw going to your bedchambers was The Enchantress. I can't be sure because the lighting was so dim, but she turned and looked at me with a smile." Serena took a deep breath before she continued, "I think that after I left you bedchambers in tears that she shape-shifted into me. That's why you saw my face instead of hers." Loki said, "How could I not sense that it was The Enchantress. My mind is usually too strong for anyone to get through." Serena said, "It could be because you were thinking or dreaming about me. So, you just assumed it was really me. That's the only reason I can think of UNLESS you want me to believe you cheated/betrayed me on purpose." Loki said, "No I didn't betray you on purpose. I really thought it WAS YOU who had come to me that night." Serena looked at the floor again. Then Serena looked up at Loki and said, "I WAS planning on going to you that night BUT when I saw that I left hurt. I know that I probably should have woken you up and talk to you about it BUT I WAS HURT TOO BAD. Loki said, "Yes, you should have woken me up that night. Then maybe we could have caught her, and all of this wouldn't have happened." Serena looked at Loki with tears in her eyes and said, "I know... now."
