Loki's Jealous

Chapter 9

Serena tells Bucky, "I think I need to retire to my room. It's been a long day." Bucky said, "Ok. Would you like for me to walk you back to your room?" Seren said, "No, thank you. I will be fine. I believe I can find it on my own. Thank you for the tour, Bucky, it was quite enlightening." Bucky tells Serena, "You're welcome, If I can be of any more service, then just let me know." Serena smiled and said, "Thank you." Then Bucky walks away. Serena calls out to Loki, "Loki!, Loki! I know you're here. Show yourself." Loki appeared from behind one of the walls. Serena said, "Why are you following me?" Loki asked Serema, "Why are you flirting with Barnes?" Serena said, "I'm NOT flirting with anyone! I'm just being nice to one of your Avenger friends. Isn't that what Thor said that The Avengers all get along. Well, that's all I'm trying to do is get along with the rest of The Avengers, except for that Tony Stark, I don't like him." Loki said, "I agree with you about Stark. I don't like him either. But I don't like the way that Barnes is looking at you." Serena said, "Oh, are you jealous?" Loki laughed and said, "Me. Jealous of Barnes, please. He's not worth my time." Serena asked, "Then why are you worried about him showing me around?" Loki said, "I'M NOT WORRIED about him showing you around. I just don't like the way he looks at you." Serena said sternly, "I can take care of myself. I DON'T NEED your protection-not anymore." Loki looked into Serena's eyes and asked, "DO YOU STILL LOVE ME, Serena?" Serena didn't answer. Loki asked Serena again, "DO YOU STILL LOVE ME?" Serena dropped her head and said in a low voice, "I DO. But you hurt me, Loki. There's no way you can even imagine the pain you caused me when I saw you with THAT chambermaid. It tore my heart out. My heart couldn't have hurt any more than if you had taken your daggers and stabbed them through my heart." Loki was left speechless.
