Wicked Little Town - Part 1

Aminity sat on the couch between her father and Alice as Betty sat next to her mother and Jughead stood behind them, their eyes trained on the videotape of their house playing in front of them. Betty stood up and walked over to the window and looked out as if she could see the camera. Jughead sighed, walking up to her and wrapping his arms around her, leaning his head against hers.

Aminity looked down as she felt her phone vibrating in her lap. "It's Pea," she said, standing up and walking into the kitchen. "Hey," she said as she put the phone to her ear.

"Did you get one?" he asked, skipping the greeting.

She sighed and ran a hand over her face. "Yeah. Where are you?"

"Pop's. We're all just watching it."

"Us too." She stopped and the phone was silent.

"Are you okay?"

"It's... unnerving."

"Do you want me to come over?"

"Please."

"Okay. I'll see you soon, Princess."

"Okay," she hung up, walking back over to her father, the tape turned off.

"Is he coming over?" FP asked.

"If that's okay."

"Yeah. I'm going to bed. No funny business."

"Thanks, Dad. Goodnight."

"Night, sweetheart. Night, Jug, Betty," he said, leaving the room.

"Night, Dad."

"Goodnight, Mr. Jones." Betty and Jughead walked over to Aminity and the three sat down on the couch, both girls curling into Jughead's sides. A knock on the door made them all jump before Aminity stood, taking a breath before opening it, letting out a sigh as she saw Sweet Pea.

"Hi, Princess," he gave a small smile as she wrapped her arms around him, burying her head in his stomach. She let go and they walked inside, Sweet Pea nodding to Jughead before following Aminity to her room.

"Um, I'm gonna change, but I'll be right back."

"Okay," he said quietly. "Hey," he said, taking her shaking hand in his, "it's okay. I'll be right here when you get back." She nodded, giving him a small smile before kissing him quickly. She went into the bathroom, changing and brushing her teeth, before she walked back into her room to find Sweet Pea sitting on her bed in a shirt and pair of sweatpants he had left in her drawers. She got in the bed, pulling the covers around her as Sweet Pea did the same, pulling her body to his, feeling her relax at his touch. "I've got you, Princess," he whispered, kissing her temple. She moved her head under his chin as a response. He reached over to her nightstand and picked up the pill bottle sitting there, sitting up and dumping a pill into his hand. "Here."

"I'm not going to be able to sleep, so it won't do any good."

"Just take it, Aminity." She didn't move. "Aminity," he said, his voice stern.

She sighed, sitting up and swallowing the pill. "Happy?"

"Yes." She tried to keep her face straight, but her smile betrayed her. "Come here." She laid her head on his chest, his arms wrapping around her again. They both felt better as they held each other, but neither got much sleep, the tapes keeping them awake.

"So, we talked to all your teachers and we figured out a way for you to catch up on all of your classes," Betty said as she dropped the binder on the desk in the Blue and Gold office.
