"Brace yourself, bitches," Cheryl said as she walked into the student lounge, making everyone look up from what they were doing as Archie and Reggie stopped tossing the football back and forth. "I just saw our most hated foe, the malefactor Honey, entering his office."

"Was his ass still glued to his chair?" Archie asked, catching the ball Reggie threw. They all laughed.

"I heard the had to use turpentine to unstick him," Kevin smiled.

"He was smelling particularly odious," Cheryl smirked as she sat down. Suddenly the intercom started to screech before Honey's voice rang through the school.

"Students of Riverdale High," he spoke slowly. "Unless the person or persons responsible for last week's so-called prank step forward, prom is officially canceled." They all looked between each other, Cheryl speaking first.
"I knew it. I knew your juvenile antics were going to end in tragedy. Turn thyself in, Reginand. Immediately."

"No way," he said, sitting down. "I pranked Mr. Honey on the behalf of all of us. And for the record, I did not prank alone."

"Oh, God," Veronica let out sarcastically. "And who would be stupid enough to help you?" Kevin and Archie raised their hands.

"Kevin."

"Archie," Veronica scorned at the same time as Betty.

"What's the big deal?" Reggie asked.

"It's not like any of us were allowed to go."

"We were going to crash it, you dotty pole," Cheryl told Kevin. "Now there's nothing left to crash."

"I could tell him it was me," Aminity offered. "I mean, it's senior prom anyway. I'll have one next year."

"And you'll have to deal with Honey next year. There's no point in putting yourself in a position for an awful senior year," Betty told her.

"I refuse to be the only sitting president in the history of Riverdale High who didn't sponsor a prom," Cheryl told them venomously.

"Okay, everyone chill," Archie spoke up. "Reggie's not the enemy here. Mr. Honey is. If we all turn against each other now, we all lose. If we want the prom back, we need to think strategically. Bety, what should we do?" They all looked at her and she took a breath.

"We research our enemy, determine if there are any skeletons in his closet that we can exploit. I'll take point on that. In the meantime..."

"Nobody panic," Betty let out, clearly trying to listen to herself as they all stared at Honey's dead body on the floor of the cabin.

"I don't understand. I didn't even hit him that hard," Reggie said from where he squatted on the floor.

"Wh- Why did you even have to hit him at all, Reggie?" Cheryl asked on the verge of tears.

"You were the last one to see him alive!"

"I didn't do anything! He was fine when I left him," she defended herself. "He must've toppled over in his chair or something."

"We want to scare Mr. Honey, not kill him," Archie let out, a hand on his head.

"Well, he's dead," Jughead said.

"There's no changing that."
"Jug and Aminity are right," Betty nodded. "What's done is done. The only question is, are we going to let this terrible accident-- and yes, I am calling it an accident, which it was-- ruin our lives? Our future?"

"I hope not. I'm going to Highsmith College."

"I'm going to Barnard," Veronica said, looking at Cheryl.
