Jughead and Aminity made lunch as Betty talked on the phone.

"Hi. Can I speak to Joan Berkeley please? ... Oh my God." The Jones' looked up and glanced at each other. "I'm a classmate of hers from Stonewall Prep. ... Yes, it's Donna. I don't mean to upset you further, but how- how did it happen? ... I'm so sorry to hear that. Please accept my condolences." She hung up and turned back around to face them. "Okay, Donna may not have been lying," she said about the story Donna had told her in the middle of the night.

"So now we have a preppy murderer on the loose?" Jughead asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Apparently," she sighed. "I hope Donna's somewhere safe."
"So... do we get involved with this one?" Aminity asked.

"I don't know," he sighed. "First school, then a new mystery?" They agreed, finishing getting ready before heading outside. The girls froze as they opened the door. Jughead leant down and picked up the tape sitting on the front porch.

"So much for school," Aminity sighed. They walked back into the house, FP and Alice joining them as Betty put on the tape.

"So David wasn't the auteur?" Jughead asked.

"Or maybe this is one of his accomplices," Betty suggested. They watched as the front of their house appeared, but this time it was on the front porch.

"Oh my God," Alice let out as the front door opened and the auteur walked inside.

"He did it. He's finally gotten in a house," Jughead muttered, leaning forwards. They watched as he walked through the downstairs before going upstairs. The first room was FP and Alice's, then Betty's where she and Jughead spooned in the messy covers. The next door to open was Aminity's. Hot Dog slept in the corner as the auteur creeped up towards her bed where Sweet Pea laid, one hand over Aminity's waist as she laid in a small ball. The auteur walked closer before a knife came into view of the camera. Aminity's breathing got faster as they watched the knife lay on her cheek before slowly sliding down without leaving a mark. Jughead turned the tape off as Aminity raised a hand to her cheek.

"Okay, that's it," Alice told them. "We're getting out of there. We have to leave now."

"Everybody, pack a bag," FP agreed. "We're going to check into the Five Seasons. Let's go." They all quickly went upstairs, packing their necessary items. Aminity hesitated as she looked around her room and at her bed. She tore her eyes away, grabbing her backpack and filling it with clothes and her other things. She packed another bag for Hot Dog, putting him on his leash before leading him downstairs. FP checked them into the Five Seasons, ordering room service before going down to the lobby to talk to Alice alone. Aminity was picking at her food when there was a knock at the door. Jughead hesitated before he stood, opening it to reveal Sweet Pea and everyone let out a breath of relief.

"What are you doing here?" Aminity asked, walking over to her boyfriend.

"Your dad called."

"I figured you might want another friendly face," he offered.

"Thank you, Dad." They all spent the rest of the night at the hotel, mostly quiet. They ate room service for dinner and soon enough everyone was heading to bed. Fred and Alice took one of the beds and Aminity laid with Sweet Pea's hand over her waist on the pull out soda. Hot Dog lay at their feet, his small snores comforting her slightly.

"Okay," Betty sighed once she checked that Aminity was sleeping, getting back in the other bed with Jughead. "So our parents have calmed down, Aminity's asleep, and I'm filled with dread."

"Yeah, me too."

"Jug, if the auteur got into the house, that means he's probably been inside many times before."
