The rest of summer vacation passed quickly. Aminity, Jughead, Betty, Veronica, and Archie had dinner at Pop's every night they could and they could see that he was slowly getting better. Aminity spent most of her days either working at La Bonne Nuit or hanging out with Sweet Pea and Toni at the Serpent Den. The town was healing and rebuilding as the night before the first day of school came.

"You know, I really can't imagine a better way to spend our last night of summer vacation," Betty smiled as she sat in Jughead's lap at the Pembroke, Veronica in Archie's, and Aminity in a chair.

"It's it crazy?" Veronica asked. "In just nine months, life as we know it will be over. No more high school."

"No more Blue and Gold," Betty said sadly. "No more heart to hearts at the lockers."

"Oh, B, don't be sad."

"I'm sorry, guys. I can't help but think life goes by so fast, and none of us are very good at stopping to savor it. But tonight we will be."

"Mmm-hmm," Jughead hummed as she looked at him.

"Well, maybe this year that's what we do," Aminity spoke up. "This year, we spend more time with each other, being as normal as possible. Please? I mean, you guys are all leaving, but I'm only a junior this year."

"Hey, this year is our year, alright?" Archie told her. "All of us." She smiled at him.

"We're all together, with the people we love," Betty smiled down at Jughead. "It's gonna be our best year yet." She leant down and started making out with him and Aminity grimaced, waving to Archie and Veronica as she grabbed her stuff.

"I'll see you all at school tomorrow," she told them. "Have fun, be safe," she smiled before closing the door, making the seniors laugh before going back to their kissing.

Aminity looked out the window of her classroom as Archie, Veronica, Jughead, and Betty ran in the school before getting stopped by Mr. Honey. She caught eyes with her brother as they were dismissed and headed to class. She went back to paying attention to class, meeting up with her brother after class.

"I see you met the new principal," she smiled as she switched out her books in her locker.

"Yeah," he sighed. "He's something."

"And already making a bad impression by being late on the first day," she smirked. "Why, oh, why would that have happened?" He only glared at her and she chuckled before heading to her next class.

"I am counting on you to help me pass this class," Sweet Pea sighed as he slid into the seat next to Aminity.

"Wha... What are you doing here? This is an AP math class."

"I know." She raised her eyebrows. "Come on, I'm not stupid."

"I know, but I didn't think you cared about school."

He shook his head, trying to hide his small smile. "Well, it's my senior year, so I might as well turn things around."

"Good for you. And I will do my best to help you pass," she nudged his arm with her shoulder.

Jughead and Aminity laughed as they walked into the house.

"Hey," Jughead greeted their father who sat on the couch.

"Hey," he stood and they both stopped as they walked into the living room to find another man in one of the chairs. "Jug, you know Mr. Chipping. He was just telling me about an offer that he made you."
