Oh, young man
I know you've been
Fighting in this war
For too long
Oh young woman
You're as strong as
A boulder
Let our troops come home
Freedom isn't free
They say
But I say
It's like the wind
Through the trees
We let so many
Innocent people die
So many young men
And women
When we will we stop
This madness, the violence
The chaos
The abuse and misuse
Of young men
And young women
The U.S. wants to build
Its kingdom
But at what cost
What expense
They spare no expense
No cost
When it comes
To building weapons
It's like the wind
Through the trees
Come home
Little soilder
The leaves from
The vine
Are falling so slowly
Little soldier
Come marching home
It's like the wind
Through the Trees
