My dad got mad
At me today
Because I wouldn't
Sign your card
But in all honesty
I don't like you
Even if you are family
You never check up
On meYou told me I was
Going to hell
And that I needed
To repent for my sins
You preached bigotry
And hatred
You preach against
Gay marriage
And equal rights
Because you
Hate the gaysI bet if I talked
To you now
You would say
That I'm sinful
And that I should stop
Liking girls
But I love people
No matter gender or race
I'm pansexual and proud
Not parts, hearts
I love my queer people
So deeply in love
With myself
And my queernessThey killed the man
Who broke the enigma
Because he was gay
They killed Mathew Sherpard
A young, intelligent man
Because he was gay
So now, tell me, do you
Still think that your
Opinions have no
Effect on the queer
Community
Or do you still
Hate the Gays
