The Second Trial

Gloria got to the Dojo and opened the door and saw Mustard there waiting for her and she looked around and noticed no-one else had managed to defeat a Galarian Slowpoke.

"well, since Gloria outdid all of you, I will allow those who at least caught up to one of the Galarian Slowpoke that I raised, continue on in the Trials for the Armor" Mustard said loud enough for the entire Dojo to hear "Try to make a comeback everybody, Oh that reminds me. Where are those little ones Honey?"

"Here they are" Honey said as she brought out a Bulbasaur and a squirtle "You may choose either of them Gloria, my treat"

Gloria then smiled and thanked Honey before grabbing Bulbasaur's Poké Ball and bringing it into the Poké Ball.

"Dynamaxing... A phenomenon unique to Pokémon of Galar... And then there's Gigantamaxing, a very special way of Dynamaxing for very special Pokémon... Their moves change, of course, but their appearances change, too. Speaking of Gigantamax, there's that secret recipe of the Master Dojo! Drinking it makes you gigantic and strong! I call it Max Soup! I'd love to have a bowl of Max Soup full of Max Musrooms right about now. It sure has been a while... And that's why your second trial shall be mushroom picking! Max Mushrooms are the key to Gigantamaxing, and I'm tasking you with finding three! Max Mushrooms are red with a spiral pattern. I'm pretty sure they grow in dark, humid places! And with that, your next trial begins! I'm countin' on ya!" Mustard said as he looked around the Dojo to see all the trainers that were still in the trial rush out and go to caves.

Gloria pedaled to the Warm-up tunnel. When she got there Avery was waiting in a bush but she just walked past. As Gloria entered the tunnel she immediately saw a trio of Max Mushroom Clusters. She picked them only to find Avery standing in front of her with his hands outstretched.

"Give me those, I found them first!" Avery shouted as Gloria put away the Max Mushrooms. Avery then tossed out a Poké Ball revealing his Galarian Slowpoke.

Gloria then sent out her Slowpoke to fight back, and shouted.

"Slowpoke use Zen Headbutt" Gloria shouted as her Slowpoke headbutted Avery's as it's head became covered in psychic energy.

Avery and Gloria watched as Avery's Slowpoke fainted from the powerful hit.

Avery then tossed out his second Pokémon, A Woobat.

"Woobat use Air Cutter!" Avery shouted as his Woobat sent out energy in sharp waves that scratched Gloria's Slowpoke and fainted it.

Gloria then sent out her Solosis and prepared to get serious.

"Solosis use Psyshock!" Gloria shouted as her Solosis sent out a wave of Psychic energy. Avery then watched as his Woobat was hit with the wave of energy.

"Woobat use Confusion!" Avery shouted as his Woobat in used psychic energy to attack Gloria's Solosis.

Gloria's Solosis seemed disoriented and seemed to look around before being confused. Gloria then realized that she was now in trouble.

"Solosis use Psyshock!" Gloria shouted as her Solosis managed to break through it's confusion and land a hit that fainted Avery's Woobat and then Gloria's Solosis evolved into a Duosion Avery then sent out his Kadabra.

"Kadabra use Psybeam!" Avery shouted as his Kadabra sent a beam made of Psychic energy at Gloria's Duosion who fainted when the beam ended.

Gloria then tossed out the Poké Ball containing her new Partner, Bulbasaur and shouted.

"Bulbasaur use Vine Whip!" Gloria shouted as her Bulbasaur smacked Avery's Kadabra with powerful vines that sprouted out from it's bulb on it's back.

"Kadabra use Psybeam!" Avery shouted as his Kadabra sent out a beam of psychic energy out at Gloria's Bulbasaur. The beam then hit Bulbasaur's bulb and sent Bulbasaur flying into a wall of the cavern. Gloria then brought back her Bulbasaur and sent out Hatterene.

"Hatterene use Psychic!" Gloria shouted as she tossed away her jacket and got serious.

Her Hatterene the used it's psychic energy to grab Avery's Kadabra and Slam it into the wall of the cavern.

Avery then stammered as Gloria's aura began to flare with the help of Hatterene's psychic energy. 

"Hatterene use Dazzling Gleam!" Gloria shouted as her Hatterene sent out a beam of sparkling stars that all hit Avery's Kadabra and sent Avery's Kadabra against the wall once again where it fell to the ground and fainted.

Gloria then brought back Hatterene as one of her Poké Balls began to glow and she sent out an Ivy said from the Poké Ball.

Gloria then brought it back and picked the mushrooms before pedaling her way back to the Master Dojo.
