Chapter 14

 From next day Dev tried to talk to Ishwari about his and Sona’s relationship but was interrupted by various events. Ishwari was also understand that Dev is trying to say her something but Dev’s hesitance is giving her suspicion that that news is not very good for her. Dev generally never hesitate to say anything to her. Sonakshi was also in tension about Ishwari’s reaction and as her family also asking to her that if Dev talked to his mother. But for one after one interruption and problem problems he didn’t get chance to talk to his mother about that for 2 days. Finally one Saturday morning after 2 days of Dev’s visit to Sona’s home he massaged her that he was going to talk to Ishwari at any cost. She wished him best of luck and remained tensed and restless. Neha came to Dixit house and all three sisters stay close for moral support. Riya and Niki were hoping that all will be well while Neha came as she knew her brother will need support but she was also preying and hoping against hope that he will not need that. 

After breakfast a nervous Dev called his mother and make her sit in front of him. He started “Ma I want to say something to you. Actually I was thinking from some time and trying from few days to talk to you” Ishwari said “What’s matter Dev? Why are you tensed? Is there any serious problem?” he shook his head negatively “No there is no problem actually I..” but he was cut by arrival of one of his close friend Sanjay. Sanjay came and started accusing Dev “Yar Dev. This is not fare. You say I am your close friend but today am feeling I am a stranger. This is not done. How could you do this to me? I never ever imagine a in my dream also that you can do such things with me.” Dev very well understand what Sanjay is talking and his eyes become wide in horror. He has to pacify Sanjay so that he don’t blur out anything in front of Ishwari.   He started “Yaar Sanjay I can explain. Don’t get angry.” Sanjay looked at him “How can I when my best friend hid such a big thing from me. I really didn’t expect this from you.” Ishwari couldn’t take it anymore that someone is accusing her son in front of him so she came in his defense and asked “What happened Sanjay? Why are you angry with Dev? What Dev did? I am sure he can’t do anything injustice with anyone and you are his close friend.” Dev tried to pull Sanjay away. “Nothing much Ma. He is just upset we will short out.” By that time Ishwari understood that Dev is trying to hide something from her and Sanjay knows that. She looked towards her daughters who were roaming around their brother since morning and felt they all knew something which they kept away from her. So she decided to confront Sanjay. While Dev was pulling Sanjay from the hall Ishwari stopped him and asked Sanjay “Tell me Sanjay why you are upset with Dev? What Dev hid from you?” Sanjay pushed Dev’s hand from his shoulder and came near Ishwari “Why shouldn’t I upset Aunty when I came to know from newspaper that my best friend is in a serious relationship for nearly 1 year? I expected him to tell me when he would be in love but see I came to know that my best has an affair with a Doctor for such a long time and I didn’t have any wind of it.” Ishwari was surprised to know that she never can think that her son loves a girl, in a relationship for so long but never told her anything better to say hid it from her. She think there must be some misunderstanding. She controlled her expression and asked “Newspapers wrote that?” Sanjay said “yes Aunty with pictures. If I didn’t see the pictures I never believed that.” And he pull out those papers and magazine from his bag which were full of Dev and Sonakshi’s photos taken secretly. Those pictures clearly showed that those are not casual meetings and they were not only friends. Those photos contains their affection, few grips of their dates, hugs before parting, kiss inside car etc. etc. which were screaming about their relationship. Sanjay was surprised to see Ishwari’s shocked, speechless expression, Dev’s face down with guilt and fear, Neha’s horrified expression and Riya, Niki’s tensed face and understood Ishwari was kept in darkness. He slapped himself mentally for bringing the cat out of bag. Ishwari looked towards Dev and her 3 daughters. She immediately knew that that was not a cockup story by media but a necked truth and her daughters were aware about that actually supporting their brother in that. She felt someone snatched not only Dev but all her children from her and tears started to roll down from her chick. Before anyone can say anything she rushed out to her room and thought “I hate you Nutrition, I hate you for this.”
