after seating next to the person, y/n saw a boy of her age. the son of the guests, kim taehyung. he was quiet and also polite. more likely to mention, y/n found the guy pretty good-looking. they exchanged smiles and helloes as they began to eat. both of the parents were chatting as they quietly ate and the parents sensed the quietness as awkwardness.
"oh, you guys must be bored listening to us talking. y/n, why don't you take taehyung somewhere else and talk? if you have finished eating." her dad suggested as taehyung and y/n made eye contact. "yeah, i'd like that, thank you." he said.
dad! i love you so much!
both of them up and bowed to the elders before leaving the hall. she was happy to finally get some time alone with this handsome lad. walking around the hallways of the mansion, she started a conversation, "i'm sorry, it's a little awkward as we are a bit quiet."
"no actually, i'm usually not this quiet. i should apologize for that." he muttered as he lightly smiled. "maybe it's because i'm with a pretty girl like you." he stated making her get a bit shy but she didn't let it show as y/n didn't miss the chance to flirt back with her words, "well, i'm not with a boy any less handsome."
oh my god! i did that? how could i? whatever, it's not like i said something wrong. it's fine y/n, everything is perfect. you are perfect.
they entered the library, "the library looks good." taehyung said while being slightly impressed. 'thanks, i like reading here at midnight, when everyone is asleep and there's no disturbance. it's the best. the ambience is worth staying up." she answers while sitting down at the cozy armchair. "someone took the midnight library too literally." he said making both of you laugh at the not very funny joke.
why am i laughing my lungs out? it was not even that funny.
a book in one of the shelves caught his attention, as he walked around. the title on the cover read, 'epitome of love', "hm, looks like choi y/n has good taste in books. this is my all-time favourite ." taehyung said while holding the book. she walked towards him taking the book from his hands as their fingers brush against each other's. y/n looked at him softly after taking a look at the cover, "meet me in every life as the epitome of our love."
