in the celebration of the couple getting back together, a small gathering of their close friends was held. taehyung felt a smirk creep up his lips as he witnessed the scene of jimin and linda getting along quite a lot. jungkook came up next to him and patted on his shoulder. taehyung looked over to see jungkook eyeing the same scene with the same enthusiasm. jimin laughed at linda whose back was facing the two idiots of his friends, his eyes met theirs and their grins made him roll his eyes before returning his attention to what she was saying.

hoseok and y/n were on sitting down near the food tables, while talking about everything they could think about, "i know right! i would never! and to think that-" hoseok stopped his rants to raise his eyebrows and side-eye a pair a bit near them. "what?" y/n said before almost turning her head to the direction, " don't! don't make it obvious that we are keeping an eye on them, stupid girl!" he stopped her abruptly.

y/n blinked in a confused matter before whispering back, "we are keeping an eye on them? them who?" he rolled his eyes before telling her about the cupid's arrow seeming to hit jimin and linda. "no way!"

y/n giggled as hoseok clicked cute pictures of them, showing them to y/n, both of them squealing in excitement.

their squeals reach linda's ears as she looks over jimin's shoulder to find her two friends cheering for her in silence but loud with gestures. hoseok shows her a heart with his hands over his head while nodding in encouragement, while y/n does the same by showing two thumbs-up. her eyes widen in horror and she chokes on her spit unintentionally.

this worsened the situation as jimin was now leaning closer, patting her back, caressing her cheeks while asking in a concerned tone, "are you okay?"

y/n and hoseok almost fainted with whatever they were seeing, feeling overwhelmed by the romantic interactions taking place infront of their poor eyes. they were like two teenage schoolgirls who just watched the first kiss of a romance drama.

after dinner, taehyung was clinking his champagne glass to get everyone's attention with the little spoon, with y/n beside looking at him in curiosity. as everyone gathered around him, he kept the glass and started speaking, "everyone, it is lovely to have you with me and y/n today. i have gathered all of our close friends together for a very special reason. which is, to profess my undying love to my dear y/n."

he turned to y/n and held her arm, whose cheeks were burning up but still kept her keen eyes to him. "y/n," he breathed out as he suddenly feels his heart beat get faster "i have loved your beautiful self ever since i've known about you. ever since i've heard you, ever since i spoke to you. ever since our existence grew aware of each other, ever since i've managed to strike up a little conversation to hear you voice out those admirable words." taehyung said out, holding intense eye contact. he then proceeds to pull out a small velvet box from his coat pocket. y/n's eyes got teary after hearing those heart-touched words. "the world has played countless conspiracies against us, but our love was stronger than that." y/n nodded lightly, encouraging him to go on.

"so today, i want to ask you, my love the most important question of my life." taehyung opens the box to reveal an alluring diamond ring as he got down on one knee while holding out the ring, "choi y/n, will you marry me?"

y/n laughed through her tears of joy before nodding enthusiastically, "yes, i will!" taehyung put the ring on her fingers, getting up to hug her tightly. the cheers erupted from their surrounding, coming from their loved ones. jimin already had his camera ready to capture yet another beautiful moment of life, but he was a bit distracted by the memory of linda hugging him in excitement when y/n said yes. hoseok was crying with his palm covering his mouth and linda was patting his back, "i'll have to marry soon now!" hoseok wailed. amidst all of the chaos, stood jungkook standing alone, watching the most happiest time of his love's life. her happiness was all that mattered, at least to him. jungkook quickly wiped up the tear that managed to escape before smiling widely and clapped hard for the whole world to hear.

y/n forgot about the world that existed as if she knew nothing else except for the man infront of her, who was on top of the clouds now for her obvious answer. she was finally engaged to kim taehyung.
