Bob's Diner 2.0 was located on the outskirts of the city; far enough away that I had to take a taxi instead of walking.

After paying the driver, who promptly left, I found myself taking in the diner's exterior. The neon sign flashed red in the setting sun, and I wonder why it was version 2.0.

Where was the first diner located?

The exterior was designed like a classic 50's diner; the aesthetic reminded me of the rare fun memories of going to Johnny Bravo's with my siblings and parents when we were young children. A nostalgic feeling captivated my heart. I took a moment to breathe through it.

Things were so different now, but there was nothing I could do to change it.

To change them.

I pulled my coat tighter against me as I made my way through the parking lot to the entrance. I was able to quickly spot a familiar head of dirty blonde curls that was sat in a back rounded booth. It was large enough to sit ten if needed. Sitting with Sean was a man I didn't recognize.

He had bronze, sun kissed skin on a built body giving him an exotic look. The man's dark, almost black, hair was cropped short in a militaristic way. He was unconventionally handsome in my opinion. It was clear he worked out. His eyes were gentle when they met mine. They were almost as dark as his hair, but something about them made him much less scary.

He exuded the same warmth Sean did; I already knew he was safe.

And it frightened me.

"Hi, again, Sean." I said shyly and gave a small wave to both him and the new man.

One of his other brothers I presumed.

"Flower! It's so lovely to get to spend time with you again. This beef cake next to me is Silas Korba." Sean's voice was filled with laughter, and a hint of something else, as he introduced Silas to me.

I didn't miss the new nickname Sean had christened me with, or the interesting last name of Silas.

"it's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Korba."

I glanced at Sean with amusement, briefly smiling and nodding to Silas as I greeted him.

I only hope I didn't sound like a fool trying to pronounce his last name. I took a seat on the edge of the booth preferring not to be boxed in. Sean quickly took the opportunity to slide over so he was sitting besides me.

"Please, call me Silas. The pleasure is all mine." His deep voice has an accent I cannot recognize; definitely foreign.

I wonder what it is, but I feel it's too rude to ask. Instead, I try to push back the blush I can feel warming my face. I cough awkwardly into my elbow and try to avoid eye contact with the two flirts at the table by looking over at the diner's bar seating.

There is a man working, serving the three customers sitting there.

He had more energy than I imagined anyone should at this time of day.

The man was literally bouncing in place as he listened to a customer. He had long golden, wavy hair pulled back into a ponytail that had begun to frizz. He was built like a swimmer and even the uniform he wore took nothing away from his good looks. I couldn't catch his eye, seeing as he was busy, but I bet they were blue. Or green.

Thinking of green eyes I looked beside me at Sean who had been talking about some kind of fishing trip with Silas. Sean looked more well rested, the bags under his eyes less prominent. He noticed me staring and sent me a wink, making me blush again.
