After my meeting with Nathan, I texted the group chat to apologize for my silence and ask for forgiveness. Individually, I texted Mr. Blackborne and Kota that I was going to give being their family's friend another try since they were the two who had the conversation with me at the beginning of the week. Each of the guys responded to my texts with re-assurances and excitement.

Mr. Blackborne and Kota expressed their gratitude at my decision in a more calm, formal way. I didn't miss how Nathan had been added to the group chat, although he had yet to utilize it. Plans were rapidly made to hang out, and I found my weekend booked. Saturday, today, I will be going on a shopping trip with Gabriel and Sean. Then I would be eating dinner at their house with everyone else later on. On Sunday North and Silas were going to take me on a fishing trip which was exciting. I had never set foot on a boat or fished a day in my life.

It was now 9AM and I was eating breakfast before getting ready to meet with Sean and Gabriel. They would be picking me up outside my building around 11AM. This gave me plenty of time to rid myself of the nervous energy zooming through my veins. Since it was the Christmas season, officially,  I decided to wear the only Christmas sweater I owned.

It was knitted and mostly a grassy green but right smack-dab in the middle was Rudolph in all his red-nosed glory. In fact his red nose was a relatively large red, fuzzy ball. It was actually pretty hideous, and thats exactly why I loved it. In addition to my sweater I wore jeans and my boots.

A while later, I found myself sitting on my usual bench outside of my building wrapped up in my coat waiting for Sean and Gabe. I didn't have much money to splurge on shopping, but I was looking forward to spending time with the two. I studied my hands as I was lost in thought.

My gaze glanced over the light freckles over the top of my palms, vaguely itching at a new one on the inside of my wrist that was looking a little swollen. Soon a black SUV pulled up dragging my attention from my wrist to the road. The passenger window was down with Gabe's beautiful face beaming at me as he waved and yelled my name.

"Tulip! Our best friend, ever! Get your cute ass over here!" Smiling, laughing a little bit, I waved to both him and Sean, who was in the driver's seat, equally as happy to see me.

I practically skipped to the back door behind Gabe's, and opened it enjoying the warmth that emanated from the interior of the car. I paused, mouth frozen in a smile, as my eyes landed on the figure sitting behind Sean.

I had not expected Nathan, of all people, to join us on our little adventure. Deciding to take it in stride, I gave him a gentle smile and soft hello as I settled into the back seat leaving the middle seat between us empty.

"Our flower girl! We have missed you, I am happy you are hanging out with us, today is going to be a blast."

Sean spoke as he began driving.

The curly haired man was buzzing with energy that was contagious. I was overwhelmed with how genuinely happy Gabe and Sean were with seeing me again. Maybe I had somehow wormed my way into their kind hearts, the same way that they rapidly became a beacon of light for me.

"Yes, it fucking will be. You are going to help me design Nate and Sean's winter wardrobes sweetheart. They are the only two who have been too busy with work to get it done earlier in the Fall."

Gabe's words were wondrous to me.

They had enough established wealth to get new wardrobes for the seasons? I had been wearing the same winter clothes for years only spending money when I absolutely needed to.

Catching my far off expression, Nate grimaced beside me.

"Jeeze, way to make us sound pretentious Gabriel." He said with a teasing tone and a roll of his eyes.
