Will try to churn out another one!

Kagaya kisses her. His children’s footsteps fades. He gives her another one. Tengen’s shadow disappears after a short meeting. He kisses her neck, she mewls. He never heard that noise before. “There’s nothing to be shy of, my love.”

“Wha- what if they see us-“ He tugs on her kimono, his hand finding it’s way between her legs, touching her inner thigh, leaving fleeting touches, relishing in her whimpers when he sucks on that particular spot. He may be blind and frail, he knows her. Inside and out.

“There’s nothing to be ashamed of, if anything, they should admire a husband performing his duties.” She places a hand on his shoulder, gently pulling away, for a split second he thinks she’d want to stop and they would. Then she closes the distance between them, her lips crashing to his and it still feels like its their first.

Her fingers trace over his scarring, his damned curse. “You don’t have to...” He leans to her touch.

“I can handle a round or two, will that be enough for a sixth child?” A gasp escapes her and her hand reels back in surprise. He shakes with laughter, imagining a flustered Amane in his arms.

“A wha—"

Frantic steps reaches their ears, she pulls away almost instantly and shuffles around to fix her kimono, to appear presentable despite the red mark on her neck. He frowns, perhaps they can have fun another time. She squeezes his hand when she’s finished.

“Father! An elder came, he’s looking for you! He- he looks angry! And- and...” His silhouette moves back and forth, Amane stands to open the door. Her usually composed and quiet son had watery eyes. She kneels to wipe his tears, Kagaya hears the motherly instincts appear.

“Kiriya what happened to you? Did you trip? Did someone hurt you? Did your sisters get hurt- or- son take a deep breath, breathe through your nose.” Her eyes flitters from him to her husband, she rubs his back to help him calm down.

Kagaya speaks up, he dislikes the sudden uncomfortable silence and his concern was brewing. “Kiriya, please tell us what’s bothering you, the elder can wait.”

The child opens his mouth, their hearts drops.

Amane was fuming, his head aches, they’ll never show it to each other. They stay wide awake in each other’s arms, winter making itself known as their thickest blankets were doing nothing. She never slept so close to him ever since years ago, never having a moment for themselves since the birth of their children and the ever so looming death for them all.

He has never heard her cry. Everybody cries, he believes it’s a way to let go of grievances, of their pasts, their broken hearts. That doesn’t mean people show it. Amane shaking in his arms, that was the closest he can ever get.

“We sacrifice every bit of our life, honoring a stupid oath to protect humanity and how could we ever protect someone like that?”

Kagaya kisses the top of her head, she never would’ve gone to bed if Gyomei didn’t offer to watch other their children. Shinobu came later on to check on their health because she wouldn’t even leave their room. Then she felt terribly guilty for stealing the Pillars’ time, they say it was honor, she outright denies it. That was the most emotions he had heard from her.

“I’m going to talk to them tomorrow morning, we’ll set things straight, you need to rest.”

She looks up at him, he presses another kiss to the crease in her brows, moving strands of her strands to where her ear would be. He can’t see but he feels and he feels her heaving a sigh.
