"People of The Walker lend me your attention; As you know The Walker has stopped walking for unknown reasons, we have sent a team to find the control room, but were unsuccessful-"

The crowd booed, this startled Dan and made her grip the podium tighter, she hated the sound of booing, it was something she used to fear. But it was ok now; so taking a deep breath she continued as the soldiers quieted the crowd.

"But we have a solution to the issue! With the Spell casters magic, we will build a city on the dunes!" She exclaimed.

The crowd gasped and whispered to themselves excited and anxiously.

"There will no longer be lower levels, everyone will have affordable living and there will be good paying jobs. Schools will be built so children can actually get a stable education. We will strive for a safer, better, more equal world. Where the honest worker is rewarded." Dan said charmingly, the crowd bursted into cheers as she smiled and bowed to them before walking down from the stage.

As she made her way back to the penthouse, Dan was swarmed by reporters and people asking for autographs. She signed a few notebooks and answered some quick questions from news reporters before heading back inside.

"That was amazing Dan! You really do have a niche for public speaking!" Hawkins congratulated giving her a big hug.

Dan wished that everyone was there to congratulate her, but everyone had a job to do. Brandon, Carter, and Vee were all busy doing something. She sighed, but she didn't let that small thing destroy her attitude.

Hawkins let Dan go and backed up and she stood in front of him, he looked at her with admiration and trust. Dan could hear the crowd chanting behind, a happy chant to celebrate their great leader. She was their leader after all. And a good one at that.

Dan's heart swelled with pride, it almost hurt by the extreme of the emotions.

"I will make you guys proud." She promised.

You already have.

She smiled at the voice that seemed to whisper in her brain, she recognized the voice; she missed the voice. Hearing it, even though he wasn't there to say it felt comforting.

With a nod, she walked with Hawkins back to their home to plan out this new "City".

Dan walked back to the penthouse, and when she entered Mitsuri congratulated her speech. She helped Dan over to the living room, where Hawkins and Carter were putting maps almost everywhere. They had created a lay out of the desert, around a mile in each direction. Small pools of water, The Walker, and a few oasis's. Mitsuri couldn't talk much with Dan, as she had to address the people on actually moving off the Walker. She said goodbye and walked out the door, leaving dan with her friends who were very busy. They talked to each other and Dan didn't really want to barge into their conversation or get in the way of their work. She sighed and took a seat, watching them circle an area and start planning out walls, buildings, and a dock. Finally, after 20 minutes of Dan just sitting there Hawkins turned around.

"Dan! I... didn't even see you. Sorry.."

"It's fine, you guys are obviously pretty busy."

"Yeah, work is work nowadays. Could you do me a favor?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"I need you to start boxing our stuff."

"Ugh... fine fine.."

She left, walking over to her own room. She hastily put everything she owned into a few boxes, leaving the large furniture for later. With her boxes of things, she went down the stairs and put them at the door along with a few more. Brandon wasn't back yet, he was going to teleport the furniture around. Dan started to miss Vee and Brandon, but their jobs are overnight. Dan won't see them for a while, maybe not even until the new city arrives. She sighed, it was boring without them. The sun was setting, and Dan started to doze off. She went to bed without telling Hawkins or Carter, waking up the next morning... on the couch. Her hair being terribly messy, Brandon had already started moving all the furniture into a large cargo container. She yawned and sat up with her blankets falling to her lap.

"Good morning Dan! Sorry, I had to move to the couch."

"It's fine, at least you didn't wake me up... where's Vee?"

"We ran into a small rebellion who don't really want to move off the Walker...a-"

"IS HE OKAY?!"

"Let me finish!! Jeez! He didn't get hurt, but because I had to come here and him being high ranked, he's leading the riot control down there. So calm down."

Dan chuckled her outburst off, realizing how much of an effect Jaxton's death had on her. She calmed herself down, and got up. A few stretches, she picked up her blankets and put them back into a box. Dan didn't really know what to do, so she looked outside and below to the busy sidewalks, people were scrambling to get everything they own off the Walker. And for once, Dan saw many different kinds of sub humans. She saw cat people, people with horns, and even this weird dragon looking person. She was happy that they were able to live peacefully, and Dan was once again reminded on the world she had created.

"Okay.. okay. I don't want him out for long, remember we only have so much time to get off this thing."

"We're basically done moving cargo and stuff, all that's left is to actually migrate the citizens. Brandon is gonna set up teleport spots on each floor that send people to the refugee camp."

"Perfect! Looks like we can go?"

"Yeah.. pr-"

The door to their home burst open, a man stepped inside panting. He was bleeding from his shoulder and nose as he pointed behind him.

"Dan! Ma'am!! These rioters are getting out of control! We're losing ground and we're starting to lose men!!"

Dan looked shocked, Vee was supposed to have that! She ran out the door and stood to overlook the street flooded with rioters. She spotted Vee with his katana sheathed and fist fighting most of the baddies. He was taking a lot of hits, and the troops were losing their position. She ran down and shouted at Vee.

"VEE!!! USE YOUR DAMN SWORD AND STOP CARING ABOUT SAVING LIVES!!"

Vee looked up and laughed, his eyes quickly flashed red and he unsheathed his beloved blade. He bounced off the walls and in a flash his foes were lying on the ground... dead. He kicked a body to make sure, before chuckling. Dan was off put that he was willing to kill so hastily, but as this point did it really matter? Vee left the rest to his troops and walked to Dan.

"Looks like you've done it again."

"What can I say? I like my sword."

"I know that, how's the evacuation?"

"About... 65% is off the Walker. By tomorrow we should be good."

"Great, get back to the suite. We'll talk later."

Vee smiled and saluted, before walking home. Dan jogged to the riot troops to check on them, they were all fine. Seeing them all leave, she walked to the edge of the top floor. The Sandy breeze made her hair and clothes fly in the wind. The air was actually breathable, and for the first time there were trees and lakes on the horizon. There was still sand everywhere, but you could see everything from the top, even the Monoltih a few miles away. Dan looked down, she contemplated jumping.. why? After all she has done, to just jump off the Walker to her death? No.. nobody would agree to that, not at all.

"Why can't I just... think straight?"

"Maybe it's because you're standing on the edge."

Dan turned, a figure stood leaning against the wall. He chucked, walking over slowly to Dan. He was tall, about the same height as Hawkins. He was dressed in a black coat, grey pants with a belt that dangled to the side. Some jewelry here and there, but there was something that stuck out like a sore thumb... he wasn't human. He most definitely had a set of black horns coming from his forehead. A.. demon?

"Pardon my intrusion, I just couldn't help but see you about to kill your self."

"I ... I wasn't! Who even are you?"

"Who I am isn't important, though maybe it's best you know what to call me by dear.."

"D-dear?"

The man smiled, he slowly walked forward to the now armed Dan. He pointed to her shirt, making her lower her head. He slid his fingers up and gently grabbed her chin.

"My name is Asmodeus."
