Chapter 4: Satisfaction

Dan had a wonderful dream, she dreamt about her family. Being with them again will bring her all the joy she has ever wanted. She slowly opened her eyes to find herself on Goro's back. She yawned and looked around. Everyone was walking down a slightly flooded path. 

"Oop, Dan! You up?"

"Yeah yeah I'm good."

"That was a hell of a move back there! Where'd you learn it?"

"I improvised, but I honestly think Promise is right. Naming your attacks gives them more power."

"Huh? I'll think about that one."

"Oi Danny, we'll be at the surface pretty soon. Sure you can fight?"

"I'll be good. Just need a rest yknow."

Dan stayed on Goro's back, not really being bothered that he was carrying her. She felt the hallways and rooms to be warmer, the harsh weather above must be leaking in somewhere. After an hour or so of walking the gang sat down. A small fire lighting up the dark section they were now In.

Dan was sort of paralyzed, not being able to move a lot of body from absolute exhaustion from the devastating move she performed. Dan found herself laying across Goro's lap, she didn't really mind. A small blush on her face as a few conversations were started.

"So, Vee is captured?"

"Yeah. Not just him, everyone and everything up there is doomed!"

"As soon as we get to the surface, the Behemoth will know."

"Speaking of which, when Dan was fighting it... it used a lot of magic and seemed to know how to handle a sword well. I think there's someone piloting it, maybe near the eye or brain."

"Maybe, gonna destroy that thing. William too... Hmpf."

"So wha' are we waitin' fo'? We could probably jus' head up there now!"

"Probably a good idea, if Dan could move."

"I can move! Sort of, my head and my arms. Probably shouldn't have put so much power into that."

"Not important! Goro, what's your story?"

"Kokoro you've seen me before haven't you? At the colony?"

"Don't think I have, but I know you're from there. Do you know what happened to the Shogun?"

"No, do you?"

"Nobody has seen them in years apparently, The Colony isn't doing so good without a political leader. There might be a lot more people from there over here soon."

"Dang. What time is it?"

Kit looked at a broken watch she had on her, she looked at it for a while until finally giving an answer.

"Half past noon. And... 45 seconds.."

"That clock is broken. Idiot."

"Don' be so mean Kiddo."

"I am not a kid!"

"Uh yeah you are! Promise you're like what 15? Kokoro is shorter than you and she's apparently like 18 or something.."

Promise groaned and rolled over facing away from everyone, Goro chuckled and ruffled his long hair. 

"Here's the plan, we get up there and hide from the Behemoth. We make our way up the tower and into Williams base of operations. We take him on and everyone, and we kill then all! Except for my family of course."
