Chapter 2: Greed

The man walked down from his throne and looked in the face of Dan, his eyes golden and seemingly endless. Dan had a small stare down with him before he smirked and burst into laughter.  

"What brings you to my abode Dan? The hero of this nation! Well used to be."

"I need to save the world again. And I could use your help."

"Whats in it for me?"

"What do you want?"

He thought, and it gave Dan time to analyze him fully. She instantly noticed his white hair and long golden horns, he was wearing an open jacket with a ripped black shirt underneath and long black pants. His knee and shoulder armor was gold, but she knew it couldn't be real gold. She didn't see a weapon on him, so she guessed he fought with his fists. He snapped his fingers, and realized Promise was there.

"What I want?! This Moron out of my sight. What're YOU doing here? "

"Isn't it obvious? Working with the stronger ally."

"Oh ho ho! So you think you're better than me Dan? Little Danny?"

"I uh never said that! Ha ha ha!!"

He gritted his teeth, and he reached his hand out. Electricity surged through his arm before pieces of metal formed a huge metal arm that he slammed into her stomach, she was sent back as the music in the club was turned up. Goro had electricity flowing all over the place, a full mech suit now formed.

"I'll show you my power!"

"Show off!"

Dan summoned her hammer, Promise sat down and watched her. A bright smile on his face watching her fight. Goro approached and already started to swing at Dan, her hammer put huge dents in the arms and body. He growled and raised his hand, a ball of fire burned bright in his hand before he crushed it. He backed up and charged the attack, Dan raised her hammer to block the heavy strike.

"FAFNIR!!"

Dan felt herself he slid back from the hit, and she had time to hit back.

"My turn! Uhm.. damn it I'm to indecisive for this!"

Dan turned the hammer upside down on the floor and summoned an icicle in one hand, she hurled the ice at the suits body freezing most of it. She quickly slathered fire on her hammer, she leaped into the air and slammed the fiery hammer into the frozen suit.

"BURN IT DOWN!!"

The suit crumbled into pieces, ice scattered everywhere as Goro stood on his knee. Dan approached, and got eye level with him.

"Well? Good enough?"

He chuckled before laughing once again, he stood with Dan's help.

"What do you really want Dan?"

"My family."

"I will help you, in return I want my organization down here funded and protected."

"As you wish, let's sit down."

So they did, the trio sat down at a table. An awkward silence fell over them before Goro put his feet on the table and spoke.

"So you're the legendary Dan who vanquished the tyrant and saved the world?"

"That was like a year ago, and Williams back. I've got no idea what's going on up there, that's why I want information out of you."

"Well, from what I've heard.. Hawkins, that's his name right? He and Brandon are both being controlled and used as soldiers, I think Mit... mitsori or whatever was imprisoned along with Carter. And I think Williams new lap cat is Vee now, so honestly he's got the worst treatment ha ha!"
