"So what? I'm gay.

It don't matter. God ain't made you no better than me."

Louis POV

"Ummm, I don't really wanna talk."

Rolling my eyes, I pushed past her and into Sam's place. Josh followed close behind after I heard him mumble something to Reagan. I didn't even want to know what it was. I didn't have the time nor the patience for their behavior.

"I guess it's a good thing I didn't phrase it as a question," I responded bitterly.

"What do you want, Louis?" she turned defensive immediately, "You threw me out a while ago, remember? So now that it's convenient, you want to talk to me?"

"Shut up."

"Excuse me?"

Sam had walked back in with his sleeping (not for much longer) child in his arms and was standing on the sidelines watching with Josh. For their sake, I pretended that they weren't there.

"I said shut up, Reagan. Don't try me. You're trying to make it seem like you are the victim as per usual. I'm not falling for it."

"Cause you're so smart, right?" I didn't miss the mocking tone she used.

"Blow me. We're not leaving here till you tell me the truth about your fake death. Knowing you, you'll probably lie some more."

"You're not even worth it. You want the truth? I'll tell you. It won't change the fact that I'm back now."

"We'll see."

I wasn't sure where all this newfound hatred came from, but I wasn't going to pay attention to it. She screwed me over once again and doesn't seem the least bit remorseful. She deserves to be yelled at and more.

After sneering rudely at me, she glanced at Josh and Sam, then walked over to a chair in the lounge and sat down. Glaring back at her, I took a seat across from her and waited for her to spout off whatever nonsense she felt like saying to me.

"It all happened so quickly. One minute, I was recovering from Ryleigh's bullet wound, the next I was being rushed out of the back entrance of the hospital without telling a single soul. Something didn't feel right after Imani killed Andrew; I still didn't feel like we were completely safe. And, I was right."

"How so?"

"Before the doctor called you in to tell that I was awake after surgery, I had a little visitor. Josh came in to talk to me before I told them to go get you."

"There's a surprise," I scoffed, hiding my pain.

"Anyway...Josh didn't want to tell me, but I could tell that something was wrong. So, I forced him to tell me what was going on with him. And, he told me that outside of the hospital were the last of Andrew's gang members, the ones that weren't at the warehouse and were still alive. Well, once they got word that their leader had been killed because of Josh, naturally, they targeted him. But, you and Josh are very much alike-."

"I'm nothing like that secretive bastard."

"And targeting you," she ignored me, "isn't really targeting you. You two, stupidly, don't care if you die so whoever is after you targets me because I am your weakness."

"Don't flatter yourself, Sunshine."

"Ewww," she paused and looked at me as did Sam and Josh, "Sunshine? What happened to Princess?"

"Let's just say you haven't earned that name back yet."

Sam sharply sucked in a breath, and I tried to keep my face stoic as Reagan's visibly fell. One part of me wanted to feel badly at that harsh comment, but the other, and much bigger, side didn't care about her feelings since she obviously didn't care about mine.
