"Girl it's on all you. Have it your way

And if you want you can decide"

Reagan POV

"Sunshine, you have 20 seconds to leave this restaurant out the back door. I'll explain later."

I wanted to complain at the nickname, but now just wasn't the time. Especially since I now knew the urgency of our situation. "Louis, I'm not going anywhere."

"Look, we don't have time to argue." At that, his phone rang again, and he gripped it so hard, his knuckles turned white.

"I heard everything that Liam and that last guy said. And, the guy didn't sound like he was kidding, so we need to just do what he said now."

"Reagan, I don't want you in the line of fire. We don't even know who he is."

"We'll be in the line of fire either way", I said, throwing some money down and getting up from the table, "It's us. Do you really expect anything less? He doesn't sound too dangerous. As long as we do what he says, he should leave us alone."

I only half believed that last part. He probably wasn't going to kill us, but no person threatened some one late at night if they didn't mean business.

Plus, I had no clue who this could be.

Knowing there was no point in arguing and realizing that our 30 seconds were up long ago, Louis stood up without a word and grabbed my hand. He had a death grip on it that I wanted to protest, but I assumed that it was probably the only thing giving him some comfort right now. So, I ignored the cut off of my blood circulation and followed him outside.

"Stay behind me at all times. No questions asked."

I nodded and looked up when we made it out the restaurant doors. Standing right in front of them were Liam, the girl I assumed was Ember, a semi-buff white guy, and a slim black guy.

Neither one of them looked familiar.

"Well, that was well over 30 seconds," the slim guy spoke, "I gave you a time limit."

"Yeah, you didn't even honor your threat," Louis challenged, "I should've called your bluff."

"I wasn't bluffing. That's why Mark is waiting at the back entrance just in case she tried to run."

I wasn't all that intimidated or nervous at the moment, but chills went up my spine. Just think if I had run like Louis told me to.

"Making someone else do your dirty work for you? Pussy."

Every part of me wanted to whisper to Louis that now was not the time nor the place to be getting smart with someone we weren't sure what he was capable of, but he had pulled me behind him and now had another death grip on my arm.

"Mark isn't doing my dirty work for me. I would happily torture your girlfriend myself. His job was to just catch her."

"Yeah, yeah," Louis responded, but some of his confidence had shied away at the word 'torture', "Why am I here?"

"Oh, silly me," the slim one continued, "Where are my manners? I haven't told anyone names, have I?"

"No, you haven't," an annoyed Liam answered, also pushing a frightened Ember behind him, "Why are we here?"

"I didn't say I would tell you why you're here. I said I would tell you names. I'm Damien. The guy next to me is Ash. And, I've already told you about Mark."

Louis took an unwarranted step forward and so did the guy Damien introduced as Ash. When Damien raised a hand to him and shook his head, I realized that Ash was his bodyguard.
