"Do you need me? Do you think I'm pretty?

Do I make you feel like cheating?"

Reagan POV

"Get out of the way! Hurry!"

"Zayn, it's a hospital. They have to hurry."

"I'm just trying to help Liam out."

Everyone did get out of the way, probably not because of Zayn, and let the paramedics through. They had been performing CPR on Ember ever since she was put in the ambulance, but Liam hadn't stopped freaking out. It was with good reason though. Her heart had stopped twice since we left Louis's, but they had managed to get it beating again both times.

I'm no doctor, even with all of my Grey's Anatomy experience, but I'm pretty sure that the amount of blood coming from her chest was highly unsafe.

"Sir, we've got her!," one of the doctors pushed Liam away because he refused to let go of the gurney and wheeled her away.

Louis put his hand on Liam's back as he stared at the doors that Ember has just been pushed through. I had no doubt that the doctors knew what they were doing, but there was so much going on right now that I don't think Liam understood that.

"She'll be okay, Liam."

"Sure Lou. I'm going to the toilet. Let me know if there's any news." His shoulders were slumped as he walked away, and he resembled a small child.

A small, depressed, confused child.

"What happened back there?" I led Louis to the nearest waiting room as everyone else mumbled something about finding the cafeteria. "Who was that attack for?"

"I don't know."

Something in his eyes told me that was an outright lie, but I would address that later. "So when did you and Kai become a thing?"

That surprised him. "Wait, what? We're not together."

"Really?" I turned to face him. "The amount of sex proves otherwise."

"You were gone, Reagan." Rather than looking apologetic, he actually looked a little annoyed. Like he even had something to be annoyed about. "Look, I am sorry for lying. But, I'm not going to apologize for grieving the way that I did. Did you just expect me to never sleep with anyone ever again?"

"Of course not!" I stood up, ignoring the audience we were attracting. "But, why her? I've always disliked her."

"So? I'm supposed to only sleep with people you approve of? Pretty hard to do when you were supposed to be dead. Next time I'll buy a Ouija board and get your confirmation before she gets on her back." The malice in his voice was almost tangible.

So was my anger. "Next time?"

"Your current attitude is telling me there will be a next time. Let me know when you're over it, Reagan. Till then, I'll be in the cafeteria."

The onlookers turned their faces when Louis stomped off, and I just rolled my eyes. I admired the fact that Louis seemed to have a stronger backbone recently, but it wasn't working in my favor. He didn't take the blame for anything. Everything was my fault in his mind.

I'll take the fault for some stuff considering the circumstances, but not for everything.

"Sir. Please go and sit down! Harassing the nurses isn't going to help you know information any quicker."

Forgetting about Louis for a second, I ran over to where a furious Liam was screaming at a nurse.

"Can I please just see her?"
