"COLDSNAP!" Keena wailed. She tried to pull herself off the ground, but she was too injured to do so. Firebird, who had also suffered significantly as a result of the attack, barely had enough strength to get both of them to their feet as the duo stared helplessly at the imposing fortress in front of them.

"What are we going to do?!" Keena asked, in a panicked state; her lips were quivering and tears were streaming down her worried face. "We've gotta get in there.....now! Who knows what Flamestar will do to her?!"

"Breathe......it's going to be okay," Firebird assured, somehow managing to keep her cool despite the situation. "I think I have an idea. Before we head in, though.....we need to find some people who can heal us quickly. Preferably those who could also fight alongside us. And.....I think I know just the ones to do so."

The water mage sniffled. "Who?"

"Didn't we just form a partnership with an entire Sect?"

Keena perked up almost instantly as she realized what Firebird was talking about. As she clung onto the fire mage for assistance, the two of them headed for the training grounds, with Keena now having a noticeable limp.

As Ignicion dunked the still-unconscious Coldsnap into the waist-deep lava pool and used the chains to forcibly bind her wrists to the two rock pillars on either side of the Fire Sect leader's makeshift prison, Alpin began impatiently railing against him.

"This wasn't part of the deal, Flamestar!" he protested. "You promised that I could get revenge on Coldsnap, and that doesn't look like it!"

Flamestar chuckled. "You'll get her soon enough, Your Majesty. Poor Coldsnap just has to give me something I need first."

"An ass-kicking?" Coldsnap snarked abruptly, startling Flamestar, Alpin, and Ignicion. "'Cause I'm pretty good at giving those out."

"How are you already awake?!" the Frost King exclaimed.

However, Flamestar wasn't having any of it.

The Fire Sect leader immediately power-walked over to the wall next to the prison and pulled down a lever that was on it, causing her to cry out in pain as Ignicion's chains began glowing intensely. Soon, a burning beam of energy shot up from the pool, exited the fortress through the skylight, and burst outward into a massive, fiery force field that engulfed the entire building and prevented anyone from getting in or out.

"Protection for my castle, idiot," Flamestar retorted.

Coldsnap groaned. "What.....did you....do to me....."

She was incredibly dazed as a result of the Fire Sect leader siphoning her magic to power the field; she had immense trouble even keeping her eyes open, and her speech was drastically slowed, with her head slumping forward.

"You know.....I suppose I should be thankful that we have such a powerful adversary," Flamestar said. "A Mage Aspect of your capability is practically an endless energy source for devices such as these. This way, you won't be able to fight back against us, and no one will be able to come and save you, thanks to the force field. Our failed attack in the California forests.....your friend heavily wounding Ignicion.....Leo's demise....it's about time that you paid up for everything that you've done to us. Once word gets out that we've managed to capture you.....the others will see that they don't stand a chance. After all....if we overcame you, then why not them? They'll see the error of their ways and back off.....and we'll be free to overrun Earth unhindered."
