You decided to wear a casual dress to the movies. You're not sure why your heart is pounding despite the obvious fact that this isn't a date. Even if Jimin said that a guy and girl alone in a cinema is the classic example of one, you still want to believe otherwise.
Jungkook was a gentleman through and through. He picked you up at home to tell your mom you'll be back before 10PM. Your thoughts came wondering of what else could you be doing since the movie ends at 8PM.
Needless to say that your mom's friends were swooning over Jungkook being such a dreamboat in his denim pants, white shirt and yellow bomber jacket. He looked really adorable and was too sweet coming over your house knowing your mom's friends are there.
"Here, it gets really cold inside." He suddenly draped his jacket over your shoulders upon entering the cinema. Before you could protest, he was already pulling you by the wrist to enter the dark hall.
Good thing he got tickets in the VIP section so you're seated in separate reclining chairs. Now you're convinced that this isn't a date at all. It's just a night out between friends. If he wanted to be with you alone, he'd get the regular cinema tickets where couples on a date can cuddle in their seats.
The movie was actually good but left you hanging with a big question in your head. "What does that ending mean? Did they both die?" You said sounding confused that the lead actors were missing from school at the movie's ending.
"It's actually up to the viewer's' imagination... whether they died, eloped or just skipped one day in school." He explained while taking his spot in the garage.
"We're back early..." You said trying not to sound too disappointed seeing it was only a few minutes past 8PM.
"We can order takeout before I walk you home." He offered, to which you didn't hesitate to agree.
In no time you're both sitting on the couch in his living room, enjoying the pizza and potato wedges Jungkook ordered. The food didn't take long to arrive and by the time you were full, he was already in the middle of telling you his plans after college.
"God... I'd give anything to land that job in Seoul!" He said while leaning back on the couch with both arms folded and hands under his head.
"You will... I know it." You said timidly.
He looks at you from his spot and flashes a large grin your way. "You always know how to boost my ego."
"I'm just saying what I think... I know you'll get your dream job wherever it is." You smile warmly at him, trying your best not to stare too much or else you'd be day dreaming about how hot he looks right now.
You're pretty sure he's still looking at you when you turned your gaze away. A few more seconds of staring at him will definitely get you in trouble. You're pretty sure you're the only one thinking of him and not the other way around.
It sucks that he still sees you as a little sister, nothing more and somehow in the deeper recesses of your brain you're beginning to believe that it will always be this way.

Somehow you managed to get home on time that movie night. It felt like you needed more especially when Jungkook started talking about his post college plans. He was getting an apartment loft in Seoul and intended on coming home once in a while.Everything felt bittersweet knowing he'll be living his dream yet he will be doing so in a far off place. You won't be seeing much of him for sure and there's always this scary possibility of him meeting other people... perhaps another Liz.
The following weekend, you were already on your break at the cafe when you got a text message from Jungkook who was asking your whereabouts.
Raising your eyebrows in confusion, you texted back a reply that you're on a break. Why is he even asking where you are when he actually dropped you off that morning? Weirdo. You thought to yourself.
He also said he'd be busy with a school project so he couldn't bring you lunch, that's why he already left you with a sandwich he made back home. Jungkook must be stressed out with completing his requirements for graduation which by the way was fast approaching.
After your break, you went out to the front counter to help with the orders. Although Jimin was already taking care of the orders, there wasn't much to do back in the kitchen so you decided to hang around up front.
It was a lazy Wednesday afternoon and there weren't as many students in the cafe. They're probably busy with school stuff like most students are around this time of year.
You were stationed next in the dining area to help clean vacant tables and that's when you looked out the window seeing Jungkook's truck easing its way in his regular parking slot. Not long after, he gets off and was heading straight to the cafe, running and looking all excited.
Trailing your eyes on him, you're getting hyped up by that big grin on his face. What could be so important that he can't wait to tell you? The moment he entered the door his eyes scanned the cafe and just like a hawk finding its prey, runs to your direction in lightning speed.
Wrapping both arms around you, he lifts you off the floor and turns around a couple of times while laughing. What in heaven's name could it be?
He sets you down and holds your arm to make sure you won't lose balance before finally speaking up. "I got in!"
"You got in?" You asked in the same pitch.
"I got in!" He replied nodding his head with much more enthusiasm.
"You got in!!!" Squealing like you won the lottery before wrapping your arms around his neck, you hugged him back while on your tiptoes.
Jungkook twirls you around a couple of times more. Good thing there were only a few customers around since the both of you are definitely making a big scene. But you don't mind, this is a reason to celebrate and what others think doesn't matter anymore.
The instant he let go of you, everyone from the kitchen was already out staring at both you and Jungkook with wide grins on their faces. You look back to them announcing the great news and everyone went out to crush both of you in a big group hug.
