"F*ck.... F*ck this traffic! I'm getting off now." Jungkook growls realizing he can't make it on time. His driver nervously looks through the rear view mirror seeing his boss grunting under his breath in frustration.
Jungkook took off in full speed like his life depended on it. He sprinted through rush hour traffic and made his way to where you're supposed to meet. He's not even sure where to find your exact location in the tower. All he knows is he needs to be there and meet you.
He went up to the tower where tourists were enjoying the view of Seoul at night. Jungkook circled the floor but found no trace of you. He was panting like running a marathon and circled the floor yet again, then again. He digs into his pocket to get his phone... 7:35 PM.
You can't just leave after waiting for 35 minutes right? He makes another run around the place making sure he didn't miss anything. 8:00 PM and he's still walking around, pausing for a moment whenever he sees someone who resembles your form but none of them was you.
He called your phone a ton of times, that number you used to text him 5 years ago but you're out of reach. After almost an hour of looking he finally sinks in one of the cushioned seats by the souvenir stands. He could feel the tears threatening to trickle down his cheeks but he shut his eyes close to keep shedding even a drop.
He couldn't think straight and was about to give Jimin a call for help when a small female voice caught his attention. "Sir I'm so sorry but we're closing..."
He lifts his head to where he heard the sound and was greeted by a teenage girl looking really concerned. She must've seen him in frustration since he got there. "Okay..." was all Jungkook could muster.
"If you still need to stay, the lower floor is open until 10 PM."
"There's another floor?" He asked with hope building up in his tone.
"Yes sir... you can also see the city from there. Just take the stairs near the restroom... right there." She said pointing towards the end of the hall.
"Thank you!" Jungkook was out of there the moment he said that.
The lower floor was just like the previous one he was in but with dimmer lights. Jungkook hurriedly looked around, hoping against hope that you decided to wait a little longer. Then he saw a petite figure with her back turned on him looking out the window.
His heart was racing as he approached the familiar lady. He reached out a hand to place on her shoulder only to find out it wasn't you. She turned around and took a good look at Jungkook's face.
"I'm sorry... I thought you were someone else." He said after quickly retracting his hold on her.
"You're Jungkook..." She said almost in a whisper before flashing him a wide smile.
"Huh?... Yeah, miss do I know you?" He asked in confusion.
"He's Jungkook!" The young lady told the others nearby and one by one their faces lit up.
"How did you know my name?" He asked turning around to see more people circling him, including the security personnel.
"You're meeting Eun-ji right?" The girl asked.
"You came here for her right? He really came!" One of the middle aged women in the crowd said and the rest of them were already clapping their hands, cheering him on.
"Wait... you know Eun-ji? Where is she?" He asked in excitement, pure joy reflecting on his brown eyes.
"Oh crap! You have to go now! She left around 10 minutes ago..." the lady he mistook for you said in panic.
Jungkook was in awe about the entire situation but didn't have time to ask so he ran to the elevator after thanking everyone who gathered around him. The line was pretty long and there's no way he'd make it on time to reach you now even if he takes the stairs.
Just as he was about to give up, the security personnel who seemed to also know his name gestured for him to pass the line. Of course he got a ton of death stares but the others who gathered around him before pulled him towards the elevator door.
"Hey there's a line!" One man shouts out.
"Yeah... wait for your turn." A few of them blurted out.
"Guys, get a grip... he's Jungkook!" One lady from behind said.
"Oh my sweet Jesus... He's really here!"
Just as the elevator dinged open, the old man who was first in line gestured for him to get in. "Go on now! What are you waiting for? Go get your girl son!"
Another roar of cheers broke from almost everyone. Then just like that he was shoved in the elevator speechless with everyone else cheering for him to go get you.
