Taehyung wakes up to the sudden speed of the RV. His entire body was pulled sideways by the sharp turn and he immediately felt like throwing up.
"Hey Kook... slow down! Unless you want me to make a mess out here!" He shouts over from the back. Taehyung didn't get a response or any sign of acknowledgment. Instead, the RV went to a sudden stop, almost throwing him off his seat.
The next thing he knows, Jungkook was fuming mad as he gets off the vehicle. It took a while for Taehyung to realize that they're back in the Jeon residence instead of on the road to the country.
"What the hell is going on here?..." He shouted over at Jungkook who was already entering your home from the front.
It suddenly occurred to Taehyung that his best friend didn't return home like he thought, he was actually there to look for you. He finally caught up with Jungkook who was quickly by the stairs and was gone in split seconds.
"Eun-ji!...Eun-ji!!!!" Jungkook's voice filled the entire house as he dashed upstairs, taking 2-3 steps at a time before reaching the second floor.
Taehyung was so confused yet he had this bad feeling that you might be in some sort of trouble. Knowing his best friend's bad temper, he quickly ran after Jungkook only to find him standing by the door of what he assumed is your room.
"Fuck..." Jungkook sighs under his breath heavily, wishing he wouldn't see you wasted like last time.
"Kook?... What's wrong?" Taehyung asked as he slowly makes his way behind his friend who was clearly worried of something... someone.
"Stay back Tae..." Jungkook said in a serious tone without looking at him. He didn't want Tae to see you the way he did last time.
The memory of you high on drugs and curled up in bed wearing nothing creeped in his mind. You were too wasted that you didn't remember a thing which Jungkook thought was for your own good. He never wanted you to feel awkward around him so he made a better version of how he found you.
"Kook you're scaring me... is there something wrong with Eun-ji?" Taehyung croaked out the question with a worried frown on his face.
"I don't know yet... Tae, please... just do what I say... stay back."
"Okay..."
"Trust me..." Jungkook said in a pleading tone.
"Alright..." Taeyung replied as he carefully stepped back farther from your room.
Jungkook didn't waste anymore time and gently pushed the door open. He wasn't sure how to feel not seeing you in your room. In his mind, he was relieved seeing the empty bed but his anxiety was starting to build after not finding you there at all.
"Fuck!!!" Jungkook cursed too loudly before reaching out for his phone.
"Kook!!! What the hell's wrong over there?!" Taehyung couldn't help but worry but he trusts Jungkook too much not to move an inch from where he was.
In a few minutes Jungkook was out in the hallway making a call. Brows crumpled together with his lips closed in a fine line which totally gave Taehyung a good idea that he was really mad.
"Hey... talk to me." Taehyung pleaded as Jungkook furiously repeated the call.
"Eun-ji didn't go to the family camp in school..." Jungkook blurted out hurriedly.
"What?! Then where is she?" Taehyung instinctively pulled out his cellphone and started looking through his contacts.
Jungkook finally got hold of Jimin on the other line. He said you weren't replying to his messages so he got their other friends to contact you. Just as Jungkook was about to call the police, he heard your voice.
Spinning back towards Taehyung's direction, Jungkook was surprised to see him holding out his phone, showing him you're on speaker.
"Eun-ji... where are you?" Taehyung asked in a worried tone.
"I'm... in the rest stop with my friends. We're on our way to camp... What's up?"
Jungkook was about to yell at you but Taehyung was quick to stop him by moving away. "Hey Eunj... I really need you to be honest here okay? I just ran into your friends and they said you weren't there."
"Oh... I... I just..." You stammered stupidly realizing Taehyung just blew your cover.
"I'm in your house right now with Jungkook and we're about to call the cops to help us look for you...."
"Oh no, please Taehyung... I'm really fine... just please don't make a big fuzz out of this."
Taehyung was about to say something but his phone was suddenly snatched off his hand. Jungkook was already fuming mad and not knowing where you are was already hitting the wrong nerves.
"Eun-ji, you have a minute to tell me where you are right now or I'll get the cops involved here... You get what i'm saying?" Jungkook said in full authority.
You knew it was just a matter of time until Jungkook intervenes but you never expected for him to sound so... calm.
