"You like him... or is it more than that?" Jimin asked you in a serious tone.
"Yes... and maybe a little more." You said in a shy whisper. Jimin has always been the first one to know about anything. He seems to have a radar that can detect your deepest secrets. Good thing about it is he never judges and he's always there to listen.
"I knew it... you both like each other!" He jumps off the bench by your school's football field where you're idly sitting for the past few minutes. Today is the last day of school so you're having your clearance signed.
"What?..." You asked dumbfound at what he just said. "I'm the one who likes him... not the other way around."
"Eunj... are you blind? He's totally treating you like a girlfriend in the past weeks I've seen you two together!" Jimin blurts out loudly.
"Hey, it's nothing like that... he's just being a big brother to me, that's all." You tell him in defense.
"Yeah right... make yourself believe that." He says in obvious sarcasm.
"Jimin please don't say that..."
"Eunj, what does it take for you to believe what I'm saying?"
"I don't know... Maybe if he says it to my face then I'll believe it."
"Ugh! Guys don't do that... they're usually expressive with actions and Jungkook is definitely expressing his interest on you."
"I don't know... I'm nothing compared to Liz."
"Hey, don't you ever think you're less than anyone else... especially that cheater!"
"He loved her..."
"Yes he did... but it doesn't mean he can't love someone else. Eunj, he's clearly gotten over Liz... thanks to you."
"I'm not sure about that..."
"Well I'm pretty sure he sees you more than just a friend... I could tell by the way he looks at you..."
"I wish I could see it too." You said with a weak smile. That's been your wish since the day you felt different towards Jungkook. You've seen how he looked at Liz and you long for those eyes to shower you with the same attention.

"Are you sure it's okay if I go?" Mrs. Jeon asked her son as she gathered all her things in a suitcase."I told you mom, I'm fine... so go ahead and be with dad." Jungkook reassured
"But... I don't know son, I guess it's what they call mother's instinct."
"What do you mean mom?" Jungkook asked in a worried voice, seeing his mom staring at him with a concerned look on her face. He knew something was up, judging by the way she was behaving.
"You tell me... I mean, you seemed to look different after your graduation party the other night. Did something upset you?"
Jungkook couldn't say a word after being caught off guard. He was never the talking type and he has not confided anything this personal to his mom. There were certain things in his life as an adult that he felt he needed to deal with alone.
"You've been acting strange since after the party. I was thinking maybe someone got you upset. Is it Liz?"
"No mom... it's not about her."
"Okay then, but what's wrong? You were clearly having the best time the entire day..."
"I don't know mom, I'm a bit confused... I can't tell you yet... I need to figure it out first."
"Okay... whatever it is, I know you'll make a good decision."
"How do I even do that mom? How do I know which one's the right thing to do?"
"Come here..." She gestured for him to sit beside her on the bed. Taking both his hands and covering them with her petite ones. "The right thing doesn't always have to be the one that will make you happy... if it makes you question your morals and values that we taught you then it's probably not the good path to take."
That night, Jungkook took his mom to the airport with a big question in his head. In his mind, he knew what to do, but he couldn't seem to convince his heart. His thoughts were interrupted with the loud buzzing of his phone. Seeing his best friend's name flash on his receiver, he instantly swipes the screen to answer.
"Hey Kook... what's up?" Taehyung asked with a loud yawn.
"Let's get a few drinks... my house tonight."
"Dude... what did you do to my best friend?" Taehyung asked in his dramatic voice.
"Just be there... I'll go get the drinks."
