You could hardly feel your legs standing up from the side to get Jungkook's dad a good enough view of the stage. You wanted him to see his son just in time as the speaker announces his name. Directing your phone to him as you're on video call with Mr. Jeon.

The moment his name was announced, you were all giddy and smiling from ear to ear that Jungkook caught the sight of you. He's been wondering where in heaven's name could you be after seeing his mom sitting by herself on the spot he left you before the ceremonies began.

He took the diploma in one hand while the other shook hands with the Dean. He bows to him then to the area where his mom was seated and finally to your direction, clutching a rolled piece of paper serving as a token of Jungkook's hard work... his blood, sweat and tears (ehem).

That time, he stood tall in the middle of the stage and flashed a wide grin your way. His eyes were filled with happiness and something more... It almost felt like heaven when he blinked at you twice as if he was sending a private message that only the two of you can understand.

"Congratulations!" You say at the top of your lungs as Jungkook breezed through the thickening crowd of graduates.

Jungkook hugs his mom tightly but looks at you while doing so. That's when he realized his dad was still on video call as you kept your phone directed towards them. He casually takes the phone from your grip and flips the screen to see his dad.

"Congratulations son... we're so proud of you." His dad says on the call.

"Thanks dad!"

"Listen, I need to run to a meeting but I'll call you guys right after okay?"

"Go ahead honey, don't forget to eat okay?" Mrs. Jeon chimed in, flashing her husband a beautiful smile.

"I will and you should too... will you put Eun-ji on?" Mr. Jeon asked in haste.

Jungkook moves beside you before draping an arm around your shoulders and adjusting the screen to your height. "Dad's looking for you..." He says chuckling at the nervous expression on your face.

Not that you're scared of his dad, but according to Yoongi, Mr. Jeon is quite strict especially when it comes to Jungkook's career path. You clear your throat quickly and look into the screen to waive a hand. "Hello Mr. Jeon..."

"Eun-ji... thank you for your help." He says in a fatherly tone with a big warm smile, pretty much the same as his wonderful son.

"Oh please, it's nothing Mr. Jeon..." You reply with a timid grin.

"Your presence is very much appreciated." He says right back.

*******
"Congratulations!!!" Everyone cheered at the same time, surprising Jungkook as he entered their living room.

He scans the group of people and couldn't believe his eyes as most of his cousins and friends from high school were all there. "What the... what is all this?" He asked in disbelief, pure happiness reflected on his cute face.

"Eun-ji thought to invite everyone over..." His mom says gesturing to you. You waived a hand to everyone and they acknowledged your presence with another howl of cheers. In the past few days, you've asked Yoongi to help contact former friends and classmates while Mrs. Jeon invited close relatives over for a quick get together to celebrate Jungkook's big leap.

Each of the guests took time giving Jungkook a big hug while you and his mom went over to the backyard where the catered food was already served. In no time you're all gathered by the beautifully arranged dining tables, eating and chatting away.

It was almost sunset when everyone started to bid their goodbyes. You helped out Mrs. Jeon with distributing packed food for everyone to bring home while Jungkook took initiative to walk each of the guests out.

You were still having a small chitchat with Mrs. Jeon and a few of his cousins who decided to stay behind. Jungkook however, felt the need to change his shirt and ran up quickly to his room.

By the time he got changed, Jungkook caught a glimpse of you from the window, having a fit of laughter with his mom and cousins. Your smile has always made him feel good but your laughter took him to a different level of euphoria. "I could get used to this..."

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of his phone getting an incoming call. Seeing it was Yoongi, he quickly answered the phone.

Jungkook: "Hey!"

Yoongi: "Congratulations!"

Jungkook: "Thanks man!"

Yoongi: "So how does it feel to finally get the hell out of school?"

Jungkook: "The same way you will in a few days."

Yoongi: "Ahhh yes... I can't wait. How's your party?"

Jungkook: "Just great... I'm surprised my mom didn't accidentally reveal it to me earlier."

Yoongi: "Eunj made sure we din't mess up the plan. She kept on pestering me in the past days about it.... she's unbelievable."

Jungkook: "Sounds like her alright... Listen Yoongi, about Eunj... I just want to..."

Yoongi: "Yeah I know... she's had this crush on you for a long while now."

Jungkook: "Wait, what? Did she tell you that?

Yoongi: "Oh she would never admit that to me. I just know... don't you?"

Jungkook: "No... not exactly."

Yoongi: "Well I'm telling you now, she's had it bad for you... Sorry man, I know she can be a little too annoying, following you around."

Jungkook: "No she's not..."

Yoongi: "You have the patience of a saint... Actually I almost scolded her for making it sound like you invited her to your graduation. She was so happy telling me that I didn't have the heart to say the spot wasn't for her at all."

Jungkook: "Well, I did invite her to come... what do you mean the spot wasn't for her?"

Yoongi: "I mean, we both know you were suppose to have Liz come right?"
