Jungkook got the car rental to take him to your house. The drive was so nostalgic and reminded him of the good old days. The streets were familiar yet hold a certain mystery as to how they transformed over the years.
What used to be an undeveloped neighborhood five years ago now has more established businesses. Laundromats, cafes, fast food chains and various shops have sprouted here and there.
"Make a right on the next please..." Jungkook instructed the driver. The GPS directed them correctly but Jungkook wanted to take a walk for a few distance before reaching your house.
Treading the same sidewalks like he used to, memories of his childhood came flashing by. The moment he sees their former house just next to yours, Jungkook felt a sudden pit in his stomach. He's nervous as hell and couldn't contain his emotions.
The talk he had with Yoongi last night after the fight has somehow made it clear that he doesn't approve of your relationship with Taehyung. When Jungkook asked why, Yoongi simply said that Taehyung couldn't just change over night. Sooner or later he will fuck up and leave you broken.
That night Jungkook finally came clean to Yoongi that he's in love with you. He actually didn't look too surprised. "I knew it... I was just waiting for you to admit it." Yoongi says with a suspicious grin.
"I should've just told her to go to Osaka and study while I wait for her here. Instead I told her to move on like I would."
"Hey, you were being a great friend and a responsible adult back then." Yoongi said, trying to comfort his friend who's clearly blaming himself for everything. "Besides, we're not even sure if things would be better if you did the opposite."
"I can't help but ask what if..." He says under his breath, looking at Jungkook while they waited for the first aid kit. One of the events staff was kind enough to suggest treating his bruises before leaving the place.
"Kook... there's something really important you need to know. Eun-ji made me promise not to tell you since she said she'll tell you herself but I guess you need to..."
Yoongi was interrupted with Jungkook's flushed face after seeing a message on his phone. He felt like his entire body went numb. He felt good all over, like a heavy load was taken off his chest. However, that good feeling vanished as fast as he felt it after seeing your previous messages.
The one when you asked him if he was home and Bam jumped over your fence was still there. That night was when you had your first and last kiss. He could still remember the softness of your skin. How could he forget the most romantic kiss of his life?
"Who is it?" Yoongi asked looking confused.
"Eun-ji... she wants to talk." Jungkook said in a gentle whisper.
