"I'm really sorry for this Ms. Kim..." You've apologized for the hundredth time while getting your stuff packed in your bag. You didn't want to cause any trouble especially when Ms. Kim has been nothing but nice to you, so you simply asked to reschedule the babysitting gig to another time.
"How many times do I have to tell you that it's totally fine. This is just an introductory phase for the twins and so far you're doing great. Besides, Namjoon is still here to help." She replied with her motherly vibe.
Jungkook made it clear that he's not letting you stay behind especially after finding out you ditched family camp in school. You thought he doesn't trust you enough to let you off his sight for the weekend.
You step out the front porch and was greeted by Taehyung who was waiting outside, looking happy to see you. At least there's one on this trip who welcomes you with a genuine smile. "Let me help you with that." He took your duffle bag and led the way to the RV.
Following behind, you quietly pray for Jungkook to let this slide. You weren't even planning to do anything that could get you in trouble. The plan was just to stay discreet until Monday and pretend you attended the family camp in school. But somehow, he still managed to find out about the scheme you were trying so hard to pull off. That's just how he is from the start.
The moment you entered the RV, Taehyung was kind enough to usher you in and offered a seat behind what seems to be a small dining table. You could clearly see Jungkook's back from where you are and it looks like he won't be acknowledging your presence anytime now.
"Hey... don't worry about him. He'll cool down soon enough." Taehyung whispered while taking a seat across you.
"Thanks... I'm really sorry for delaying your trip." You said in regret, feeling guilty that they had to go back just to get you.
"Nah... don't feel bad, we're still early anyway. We weren't suppose to leave until tonight, but Kook kept on nagging about seeing the sunset by the beach." He said on a muted tone, a bit aware that Jungkook might snap on him if he heard.
"So we're staying in their summer house for the weekend?" You asked, thinking of the times when you wanted to tag along when Yoongi came with Jungkook during the summer.
"Just tonight, then we'll head over to Liz's. Her parents' beach house has a better view of the ocean. You'll love it."
Somehow that information blew you off. You're actually happy to see Liz again but somehow you feel a bit thrown off knowing that Jungkook will definitely be all over her like always.
You shut your eyes close, trying to get rid of that image in your head. You can't act like a jealous girlfriend when it's crystal clear that Liz already owns that title. Not that she's ever acted like one, in fact she's the exact opposite. She's very confident and trusting of Jungkook, not a monster girlfriend like you hoped.

"Is that really you Eun-ji?" Mrs. Jeon says in disbelief as she stares at your entire profile. She was standing right next to her husband by the main entrance while you went up to them for a proper greeting. "For a moment there I thought you were Kookie's girlfriend."You tried to act cool and was about to bow down but she was quick to pull you in for a big hug. Mrs. Jeon has always been nice and warm to your family and judging by the way she asked about your parents and Yoongi, none of them might have the slightest clue that your family has been falling apart. How could they have an idea when they're mostly out of the country for business.
It seemed like their son hasn't spilled anything about it either and you highly respect how Jungkook has kept your family's dirty laundry all to himself. That's just how he is, such an honorable man.
The entire dinner was filled with laughter and memories of when you were a child. Mrs. Jeon was always open to the idea of taking you in as a daughter. Your parents would laugh it off while Yoongi teased Jungkook that he'd be more than willing to have you exchanged with any Japanese action figure he owns. Of course you scowled at your brother for that and run to your mom each time. Those were the good old days.
"I remember having to bribe you with candy so you'd let me hug you." Mrs. Jeon says giggling. "You were so pretty, like a Disney princess that I couldn't help myself."
"Thank you... mom always said I looked like one too." You replied shyly, an obvious blush forming on the apples of your cheek.
"You still do honey... I mean I could've sworn I thought you were dating my son. He likes pretty girls and you're definitely one."
You almost choke on your drink when she said that, luckily you were able to mask it off successfully. "Oh please... you should see Liz... She's very pretty and you'll surely like her."
"I think you are too..." Jungkook blurts out like it's the most natural thing to say.
"Me too..." Taehyung agrees while munching on his steak.
"I guess all of us do." Mr. Jeon joined.
"Oh please... you're all making me flustered." You fan your self with both hands and they all started laughing. You look up to where Jungkook was sitting, just a cross you to be exact and you finally see him... smiling.
