"Heyo it's me Michael!" Michael said. Ari rolled her eyes. She might be horny for Zach, but Michael is still a favorite. He chuckled at Ari's reaction. "Sorry to interrupt, just checking on you. Have you sorted all the receipts on Excel yet?" Ari shook her head. "I think I just have one more page and it should be good. You sent me all of them for this month, right?" "Yup they should all be there." He smiled Austrailianly at her. "Alright, thanks Ari, let me know if there's problems!" He waved and walked out of the office. Ari was about to start on the last page before she remembered something. He was in her dream, too. He walked in on her and Zach! She shivered at the memory. That would be so embarrassing. Well... maybe... idk that's kinda funny if it did happen. Ari shook her head harder this time. Stop sinning.
Her interaction with Michael confirmed her dream theory. There's no way he would just act totally normal after walking in on his secretary and his business partner. The anxiety Ari had from the thought it really happened had dissipated almost entirely. Around 1, she went out to her car to hit her juul and get McDonald's. She would always watch OneyPlays while she had her lunch break in her car, making sure to catch up on the latest uploads. Especially the ones with Zach. She loves the boys all equally, especially now that she knows them in real life, but Zach is always the funniest. Of course that could just be bias, but still.
The rest of the day went by fine. By 2:40 she had pretty much finished all her work, but she got off at 4. The lines of data she stared at all day had become engraved into her vision, seeing grids when she closed her eyes. She stretched in her chair and popped every bone she owned. She guessed she could ask Mike if there's any more stuff she could help with. After checking her phone for a minute, she got up and went out to the hallway where the other offices were. Animators, writers, other secretaries, and meeting rooms made up most of the studio they worked at. Never usually that full of people, though. A lot worked at home, which is what she assumed Zach was doing today. Good.
Finally at Mike's office, she knocked on his door and peered in. He was drawing something on a tablet with his headphones in, but noticing Ari, he smiled and put his pen down. Moving one earpiece off, he said "What's up?" "Just wondering if you have anymore stuff for me, I've finished most of what's needed today." Ari noticed all the posters in his room as she leaned around the door. Smiling friends posters, mostly. And some sticky notes of very odd looking creatures. She smiled slightly when she saw one of her own sticky note drawings stuck to the wall amidst the rest. Mike thought for a second and hummed. "I don't think there's much else. If you're basically done you can leave early, no point in keeping you here forever." Ari nodded. "Okie dokie, I'll probably go in 15 minutes or something then." She started to walk out before Mike called back to her. "Hey, thanks for all your hard work, Ari. I'm glad Chris ran into you and introduced us. The studio is pretty lucky to have you." He smiled genuinely at her. Ari felt a little embarrassed but in a good way. She really does like working here. She met Chris through an editor application for the OneyPlays channel, and worked on their videos for a year before getting to meet them at a convention when they invited her. She fit right in with the whole crew really easily. And getting recommended to an animation studio was definitely not expected, but very much a dream come true. She's hoping to work up and maybe be a writer or perhaps an animator, so Michael being so appreciative was a very good sign.
She laughed nervously and thanked Michael. "I'm glad you let an autismo like me work for you." She joked. They both laughed and Ari once again tried to leave. "Oh by the way," Michael said, waving his hand to catch her attention, "sorry for walking in on you and Zach last night. It was kinda funny so I hope I didn't make it super awkward." He chuckled.
Huh?
