Song: Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day

'I don't think we can beach here but we can row the skiff into shore.' Erak told her.

Robin nodded. 'I'll go and say my goodbyes.'

Horace was first, 'I'll have to come and visit you sometime, what fief are you in?'

He shook her hand, 'Redmont. Don't get caught and please don't do anything immoral'

Robin raised her eyebrow, so killing was fine but stealing from rich scumbags was? She shook her head with a laugh and said her goodbyes to Evalyn- or Princess Cassandra really and Will, congratulating both of them on their bravery and resourcefulness. Funnily enough she was secretly very proud of the three young Arualens, especially Horace. She bid her fair wells to the Wolfwind's crew who had all grown attached to the outlaw, well not that she was an outlaw any more at least not in Skandia. In other countries however her wanted dead or alive reward was worth more.

Then there was Svengal and Halt. The first was very sad to see her go until she told him she'd be back. And Halt. Well Halt didn't show any emotion, but that was to be expected, she extended her arm out to him which he took. 'I'll miss you, my sarcastic little friend.' She peered closer at his face to see him roll his eyes. 'I'll come visit you in Redmont, if you promise not arrest me.'

Halt shook his head, 'no promises.' She was about to turn around when he stopped her. 'Stay safe Robin.'

She grinned, facing him, and was shocked to find a foreign expression on his face.

Halt was smiling.

Erak gestured to the skiff, 'we'll row you out.'

'I'll see you around fellas.' She addressed the entire ship with a mock salute and was met with cheers, whoops, and a round of rough applause. She turned and jumped down into the skiff followed by Erak, and some rowers. The oars sliced through the waves, dipping in and out of the calm water as it gently lapped against the sides of the skiff. They were only a few meters from land now, and Robin felt a gentle pang in her heart. She would be leaving the blonde Skandian, his company would be greatly missed but she had things that needed to be done. Robin Hood needed to reassemble her band of merry men.

They beached the skiff and Erak released the oar, getting out to push

'Next time I'll make sure I'm guarding the treasury.'

'I'd love the Oberjarl of Skandia chasing me through the snowy forests, axe in hand.' She smirked. Erak joined in with her pleasured laugh. She smiled waving goodbye as she started to step away, Robin wasn't good with goodbyes.

'Damn I hate goodbyes.'

'It's not goodbye forever, just for now.' A quick smile flicked upon Robin's features to bid him a final farewell, though his face must have been readable, as her expression saddened as their eyes made contact.

He sighed, thoughts weighing heavily on his mind. 'Will I see you again?'

At his words the outlaw stepped forward, dropping her pack equipment and stuck out an hand for him to grasp. A genuine, soft smile spread across her lips, one he had only seen once before- the night they repelled the Temujai. It was quickly replaced by a grin, 'You can bet your ass on it skipper.' She uttered, her eyes sparkling with mirth, as she added. 'Let's just hope it's not in one of those prison cells.'

He chuckled slightly at her remark and clasped her forearm. The air left his lungs as Robin pulled Erak in for a hug using their clasped arms. His heart fired up, and he placed his hands on her back, closing his eyes.

After a long moment, she stood on her tippy toes and placed her lips on his cheek. The action so quick erak couldn't be sure she had done it in the first place. Robin pulled away and casted her hood over her face. Her signature grin could still be seen beneath her shadowed features.

'Long live the Oberjarl.' She uttered dramatically. With the flick of a cloak and the fading of a shadow, the thief disappeared from sight, leaving him absurdly pleased with himself.

Erak knew he'd see her again, somewhere deep within his conscious, or at least he hoped so because while he wouldn't admit it out loud, he would trade every item he had ever pillaged just to see her again.
